I have chronic sinus problems. On a three-week business trip in Europe from USA, my suitcase with all my sinus care medicine was lost. Dr. Brookes was kind and able — and best of all very experienced. I recommend him highly.

Dr Gerald Brookes was a good doctor and helped diagnose the issue well. However, as a patient I felt like random things were being thrown at me in short space of time, 30 minutes which was hard to process for a while. He seemed like he was in a rush towards the end when I was asking questions. I paid a lot of money to be seen and felt that the overall experience could have been way better as it is private. The receptionist was nice.

I have never written a public review, however, after my consultation with Mr. Gerald Brookes it became essential in my opinion to write this review for the following reasons: The report that this Doctor wrote after my consultation was not only incomprehensible and illogical, it was damaging, contradictory, and very concerning indeed. The report is still an enigma, he did not listen to how I had sustained my injury and wrote a contradictory, stereotypical, biased, highly damaging medical report that made no logical sense and caused concern with the potential to damage my medical record and ongoing health. I was so fortunate that I had collated evidence of the situation that I had experienced prior to my visit. He was very quick to make detrimental assumptions and written statements, assign very damaging labels, and most importantly he did not listen to me as a patient. I can only reiterate that in my opinion this “Consultant” should be avoided, the name Harley Street, whilst reputable does not mean that it is entirely facilitated by expert doctors who listen to their patients and are prepared to learn from them. It was very clear to me that Doctor Brookes lacked understanding and also lacked continuous exploratory proficiency, he was also highly judgemental, which resulted in a damaging misdiagnosis and a report which left me to suffer. Over £500 down the drain for a private consultation, an absolute waste of my money, time, and most importantly a serious impact on my health and medical record, still very concerning. I will not recommend Mr. Gerald Brookes, maybe try another Consultant. Shocking is an understatement.
