Professor Follows is an excellent clinician. He is very easy to talk to and always makes time to explain results and treatments

Dr Follow has an excellent manner and very and calm and reassuring authority. Right from the start of my cancer journey he was open and frank about everything and it always felt like we were having a collaborative discussion rather than the one-way discussions that you can sometimes have with doctors. He is extremely knowledgable about his specialist area, and it was reassuring to see that he was always on top of the latest research and statistics from studies all around the world.

I've been seeing George for a couple of years for waiting stage CLL. Our consultations are always very helpful and relaxed (and quite light hearted at times). As a researcher he is clearly at the top of his game, which inspires confidence in his judgement. What more can you want?

I wouldn't want another consultant. George is extremely thorough and his bedside manner is very 'human'. His contacts and knowledge at the forefront of the CLL field give me every confidence. He meticulously explains everything in detail, frequently backed up by current medical research and thinking. When issues have arisen, both in and out of clinic, he has responded and actioned promptly. He has on occasion put himself out to give attention to me as a patient. There has been no hesitation in sending me for further tests when doubtful or questionable unexpected conditions or symptoms have arisen.

I have seen Dr Follows for a number of years for my CLL both at Addenbrookes Hospital and as a private patient and have always been reassured by his knowledge and expertise. Treatments have changed quickly of late and Dr Follows is at the sharp end of delivering these new treatments meaning I trust his judgement when it comes to my own. Importantly, I feel like an individual, not a number, even in a busy hospital setting as he takes time to listen to my questions and takes onboard my preferences. I feel lucky to have him as my doctor.

I first met Professor Follows just over 10 yrs ago when I was diagnosed with CLL & from the outset he has been excellent. He has continually put my mind at rest over any worries I have & has a calming influence for which my Wife is very grateful! He never rushes us in the appointments & is genuinely interested in hearing how I have been feeling as well as answering any questions we may have. I trust him implicitly & when the time comes when I may have to have some form of treatment, I know I will be in the best possible hands.

I have an uncommon condition and Professor George Follows didn't give up until he had a satisfactory diagnosis which explained all. Very pleased with his persistence and result. Highly recommended!

I have been a patient of Professor Follows for 10 years and have been able to enjoy an active life throughout thanks to his care and attention. He always has time to explain what is happening and any treatment that may be necessary, so much so, that I have complete and utter confidence in him. His knowledge and awareness of research that is being undertaken ensures that if any treatment is needed he knows exactly which will suit me. He ensures that the staff around him are always very efficient and pleasant and also instil confidence that ensures I know I am in safe hands. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to the care of Professor Follows.
