Explanation

After spending over two years with my local cardiology team and getting nowhere, I saw Dr Wright. He was the first person to fully explain what was going on and what could be done about it. I felt listened to and that I mattered. Dr Wright was clear and pinpointed exactly what the issue was. I never felt rushed and could ask anything without feeling a nuissance. For the first time in years I had full confidence in the treatment plan offered. My entire experience with Dr Wright was positive, reassuring and safe.

Explanation

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Dr Gary Wright as my consultant for my Atrial Fibrillation. An issue I had had for some ten years or so, corrected occasionally with Cardio Version & medication. The cardio version was never particularly successful & as such Dr Wright suggested initially a catheter ablation. Having been aware that this has approx a 50% success rate we went ahead. Unfortunately my AF returned after a week or so & even with persevering with medication the AF stubornly refused to go into Sinus, as such we decided to try the Radio Frequency ablation which having previously had the Catheter version, this worked perfectly & after three months or so I am now in Sinus Rhythm & no longer require heart medication apart from Apixaban. Dr Gary Wright was always available whenever I had concerns throughout the respective procedures & spent considerable time explaining the processes of both Ablations. Likewise he organised both procedures & kept me informed throughout the process. I have recently been for a check up with him & again he explained all the relevant details he had carried out on me & likewise the ECG results. All in all I am extremely grateful to have been introduced to Dr Gary Wright, his calm manor professionalism & over all knowledge of his subject made me very relaxed & confident in going ahead with his suggested treatments. Many thanks.

Explanation

From the initial appointment and throughout subsequent consultations and procedures, Dr Wright has put me entirely at ease and inspired confidence, with his affable yet professional manner. He takes the time to listen attentively; explain test results and options, in crystal clear terms, understandable to a layman; and answer fully any questions and concerns. Not only is his specialist knowledge, skill and ability impressive, he is a first-class communicator. Moreover, the standard of Dr Wright's all-round patient care is superb. He is approachable, accommodating, pragmatic, helpful, kind, and empathetic, all of which qualities have made my situation less stressful, especially so during Covid restrictions. As I have had such a positive experience as a patient, I had no hesitation in recommending Dr Wright to a friend.
