Dr Ganesh Sivaji is a renowned and respected Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and sees private patients at The Duchy Hospital.

His special interests include inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, GERD/GORD/Dyspepsia/Acid Reflux and liver disease. He is passionate about his field and prides himself in offering a tailored holistic approach to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.

He completed his medical degree at The Tamil Nadu University, India in 1995 before continuing his career in his chosen field. He is a professional member of the British Medical Association and the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2002 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2012. Dr Sivaji also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.

At Harrogate District Hospital, Dr Sivaji has been  the clinical lead for Gastroenterology since 2017, focussing on efficiency and workforce improvement. He has been the Training Programme Director for Yorkshire Gastroenterology trainees for 5 years, ensuring equality and parity for all trainees.
