About
Dr Francis Matthey is a Consultant Haematologist Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He also sees private patients with Parkside Hospital, Chelsea Outpatient Centre and Lister Hospital.
Dr Matthey was first appointed as Consultant Haematologist to the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in 1990 and moved to his current Trust in 2006.
He obtained his medical degree at the University of London in 1980, subsequently completing his training at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and University College Hospital in London. He later completed his specialist training in Haematology at the Royal Free Hospital and the Middlesex Hospital in London.
Dr Matthey has 30 years of clinical experience and has expertise in a broad range of blood disorders and conditions. He has special interests in blood coagulation disorders and haematological cancers as well as general non-malignant haematology. He typically sees patients with the following conditions: anaemia, haemochromatosis, lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma, Hodgkin's disease, thrombotic disorders and bleeding disorders.
