August 2017 was a turning point in my life. Prior to my consultation with Dr Latheef I had suffered for three years with an ongoing skin condition. I endured three years of misdiagnoses, repeated prescriptions and no evidence of improvement from two separate private dermatologists and one NHS. Following a recommendation I travelled from Northern Ireland to Leeds. Within a 20 minute consultation I received a knowledgeable diagnosis from a very attentive and thorough medical professional who prescribed an intense 12 week course of antibiotic treatment. I am 6 weeks into the course and results are unquestionable. My skin has dramatically improved and the impact on my life is immeasurable. Thank you Dr Latheef I am eternally grateful.

I saw Dr Latheef earlier this year as my skin was very sore, I sufferer bad acne mainly on my cheeks and chin but also under the skin ache on my forehead. I have never been one to wear much makeup however felt like I couldn't leave the house without it which isn't ideal when you work in a gym! Being in my late 20s this made me very insecure and stressed. I struggled to be referred as the GP didn't deem my skin 'bad enough'. Dr Latheef was fantastic. Very understanding, helpful and knowledgeable but also understood on a psychological level, how much your skin can effect your mood, confidence and lifestyle. Im really happy I went to see him and really happy I took roaccataine. I didn't really have any side effects and my skin looks and feels great. I am thankful to have been put on the tablets early on as this has meant I have avoided any scaring and my lack of confidence and excessive stress was short lived. There are not enough words to describe my experience here with Dr Latheef. From the moment I walked into his surgery I was amazed at how attentive, caring, considerate and knowledgeable he was. In December 2016 I had an outbreak of severe eczema all over my back, around my neck and on both arms down to the elbow. Over the next 7 months, I saw 5 GP's and one Senior Dermatologist, who each prescribed various creams, ointments and anti-histamines , all to no avail. My GP referred me to Dr Latheef and at the very first appointment on 26th June he said that anti histamines would not be of any use, and the irritations were probably all caused by contact allergies. He initiated immediate patch testing on the Monday , with follow up appointments on the Wednesday and Friday. At my Friday appointment he said the patch testing had shown I was sensitive to perfumed and fragranced products. He advised me to avoid all products containing perfume in the ingredients listing, even products specifically labelled as hypoallergenic or fragrance free. This also included any products containing essential oils, Limonene or Linalool. On Dr Latheef's recommendation when I got home we removed all personal care/cosmetic and cleaning products containing any of the above, including reed diffusers, scented candles and air fresheners.I replaced everything I used with unperformed products and within 2 days the rash had started to recede and for the first time since December 2016 I was able to sleep all night without the incessant itching and discomfort. I had my follow up appointment 8 weeks later and my skin was, and still is clear. I cannot recommend Dr Latheef highly enough, he got to the very root of the problem very quickly and his advice has proved invaluable. My skin has remained clear and with careful examination of ingredients listings it is possible to avoid perfumed and fragranced products. Dr Latheef prescribed Hydromol as an emollient and I still use Doublebase Gel and Aveeno cream daily. The most pleasing aspect of my skin recovery was that with Dr Latheefs intervention I was able to avoid using steroid creams or tablets!

After the seemingly obligatory 6 months of being passed from one GP to another and having rubbed a variety of creams and ointments onto my skin with no improvement, I was finally referred to Dr. Latheef. What a relief to finally be treated by a doctor with such an engaging and caring manner who is clearly an expert in his field. My treatment is ongoing but already there have been substantial improvements in the condition of my skin. Dr. Latheef shows a genuine interest in my condition and I have total confidence that through his continuing treatment my skin problems will be cured.

Dr Latheef has removed quite a large and unsightly seborrhoeic keratoses from my forehead. Dr Latheef explained in simple terms the options available and his recommendation for the treatment. I could not be more pleased with the outcome.

My teenage daughter was recently successfully treated by Dr Latheef for acne. Dr Latheef was extremely approachable, empathetic and understanding. He listened to my daughter's concerns and was able to put her at ease and address her questions in a straight forward friendly manner.

Finding a good consultant dermatologist may be difficult; getting an appointment with one the following week would be impossible in the UK, unless you can connect with someone like Dr Latheef. From first contact with his friendly, helpful secretary, to the outcome of the consultation, we were 100% satisfied. It was well worth the trip to Leeds to see this Doctor when it was needed. Some patients suffer years with no clear diagnosis or effective treatment of skin problems but, with a little advance information, Dr Lateef made a sensitive and thorough examination and a clear diagnosis at our first consultation. We found the doctor to be a exceptionally astute and very likeable gentleman, with whom any patient should be immediately at ease. After over half a century's experience of medicine in Britain, we have found no other consultant dermatologist who inspired such confidence as Dr Lateef. As for his prescribed treatment plan, intelligently tailored to meet the needs of the individual patient, the results have been excellent and the condition is now not only identified and understood but quickly healing; a source of great relief. To conclude, the highest recommendation goes to this doctor; would that every patient could benefit from such expert help.

Dr Latheef is extremely approachable, supportive and understanding. When treating my adolescent daughter he was both highly professional but also empathetic to her needs and concerns.
