Dr Deborah Boyle

Deborah Boyle is a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust where she is lead for for both vulval service and colposcopy.

Miss Boyle has specialist interests in lower genital tract problems, particularly vulval disorders and cervical pathology (abnormal smear tests). She also has a strong background in immunity and infection and the relationship to lower genital tract disease.

Miss Boyle is a certified colposcopist and deals with abnormal smear tests and pre-cancerous conditions of the genital skin elsewhere.

As well as lower genital tract sub-specialisation, Deborah see women with a variety of other gynae issues such as heavy and or painful periods, PMS, menopause, contraception and pelvic pain.

She trained at Sheffield University and then moved to London and took postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In 2000, she was awarded an MD for her thesis on ‘Does bacterial vaginosis cause cervical intraepithelial neoplasia?’ and was also awarded MRCOG in the same year. As well as clinical practice, she also has a longstanding interest in the influence of peoples’ faith and beliefs on their preferences regarding healthcare and has lectured on this topic.
