Excellent telephone advice with a prompt written summary of the consultation

I’ve been under Dr Clapp’s care for as far as I can remember. He’s beyond description in terms experience, knowledge and understanding his particular clients. He listens carefully to dis patients, understands them with patience and insight and only then he advises and recommends a treatment.

My normal Cardiologist was not in the clinic when I’d booked some tests. However, the staff after taking the tests wanted me to see a Cardiologist before I left the clinic. Dr Clapp, was available and kindly gave me his time. I found him very approachable, very knowledgable, kind and patient. He gave up his time and gave me a check up and then prescribed some meds to have before I went home. He then wrote to my Cardiologist so that he would know the situation when next in clinic. Conclusion - vey impressed!

Dr Clapp has always listened to my concerns and explained clearly any tests or investigations that he thinks are relevant for me. Any anxiety is relieved by his kind manner.

Dr Clapp proved to be an utterly competent specialist clinician with wide ranging expertise, who also connected very well on a personal level with empathy, warmth and measured realism, including a likeable sense of humour. He is simply a very, very doctor who I couldn't recommend too highly. Dr Clapp appeared well connected to a wider network of other specialists, working closely together, communicating fast and productively.

Dr Clapp is kind and gentle, with an informality that extracts information easily from a shy patient. Having listened and considered the situation, his explanation is easy to understand and delivered in a relaxed manner. If further investigation is needed, I feel that is obviously a good idea and 'let's get it done'.

Dr Clapp answered every question I had and helped me feel like I had made a truly well-informed decision about my treatment. He was very thorough in his assessments and in discussions but managed to make the whole process entirely stress-free from start to finish. He referred me to publications on the procedure I ended up having. He is very genuine, professional and I’m very grateful to have benefitted from his skill & experience.
