Dr Benjamin Turner saw me immediately after my arrival at London Bridge Hospital. He was friendly, courteous and professional, providing knowledgeable insight into my condition along with a follow up scan for re-assurance.

I had been suffering with severe migraine and vertigo since the end of October last year. I was feeling very let down by doctors that I have been seeing. I was told that I would have to wait for tests to be carried out which wasn’t till the end of April this year. My physiotherapist recommended I see Dr Ben Turner. She had been to one of his seminars and thought he may be able to help me. I was seen within a few days of contacting him and straight away was given a probable diagnosis and a plan moving forward for my recovery. I was given medication for the migraines referred to see Nicola Harris, vestibular physiotherapist. She gave me exercises to do and put me on a restrictive diet. I felt an improvement within the week slowly progressing every day. I am hoping to go back to work in the next couple of weeks. ( slow phased return) Two months ago I felt this was never going to happen. I believe that if I hadn’t seen Dr Ben Turner and Nicola Harris I would still be sitting on my sofar waiting for the tests with migraines and dizziness .

Dr Turner and his office Mr S and Hazel have been and continue to be exceptional. I know that Hazel used all her negotiating skills to my benefit for one particular procedure and at one of the very worst moments she took charge and left me confident she would deal with it. Dr Turner immediately gave me confidence on Friday evening that I had made it to a place where I could be helped. He always did exactly what he said he would and I was very relieved to have found myself allocated under his care.

When I presented to Dr Turner on 16th October I was in a desperate state, I quickly became aware that I was now in very good hands and am incredibly grateful for the care and attention he gave me late into the evening and offering me reassurance on initial test results before leaving. He has followed up regularly whilst in hospital and outside and I feel I couldn’t be in better hands. Everything is clearly explained and I have opportunity to ask questions In addition to recognising Dr Turner’s amazing help, I would also like to mention all of the team within his office and especially Hazel, Practice Manager. At absolutely the lowest point for me, Hazel stepped in and took personal responsibility, negotiating hard on my behalf and to my benefit. She left me confident that she would sort the challenge, she did and communicated back to me quickly and in a caring manner, I owe her a huge debt of gratitude.

a very knowledgable Doctor who generously shares his experience and is willing to engage with difficult questions. I feel confident in his expertise and am glad to have the chance of consultations with him. I am not a medical doctor but I think he is very up to date with the field of MS.

Dr Ben Turner was great at answering my questions and putting me at ease throughout our consultation and did the necessary checks required to ensure full diagnosis.
