“Dr Shahid what can I say except for I thank you with all my heart for saving my life. After 3 months of IVF I was experiencing alot of pain on my left hand side, all other gynaecologists dismissed me, however I then saw Dr Shahid who didn't hesitate to send me for an emergency MRI scan which showed that I had a 10-14 cm cancerous tumour on my left ovary she then arranged for me to have emergency surgery. If Dr Shahid had not recognised the tumour the cancer would have spread and I would not be here now. Dr Shahid also helped with regards to my future IVF plans, I thank you profusely you are an amazing person and I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone thank you for being thorough with me and genuinely caring about your patients you are THE BEST! “

Upon my first appointment with Mrs Shahid at 148 Harley street, I left very satisfied due to the thorough examination and time she gave in addition to asking me questions which alllwed her to study my entire case. Mrs.Shahid is the only doctor who has been able to properly treat me and help me with my gynaecological troubles that I have been facing since 4 years. She was able to put her finger on the exact problem which to many doctors around the world just seemed like PCOS with an under weight issue due to stress alone. Not only did she study my realtionship to PCOS but also to pre menopause, thyroid and low estrogen. For those struggling with female problems before and after marriage, I would highly recommend Mrs Shahid as she’s very helpful and genuinely gives her patients time and studies what the problem is. She is also able to prescribe the correct medications. In addition to myself, my family members and husband have also been very relieved and witnessed the positive change in my overall health and well-being and are thankful to her.

If I could give Ms Shahid 20 stars I would. After four years of NHS doctor appointments, myriad blood tests and ultrasounds, I was finally referred to a specialist and Ms Shahid was a breath of fresh air. I finally felt I was being listened to and she exhausted every thing she could to help me with my issues. I never once felt like I was treated different being an NHS referee. I am actually tearing up writing this as it has been such a long and torturous process and I feel like she’s helped give me my life back. Thank you Ms Shahid!

Dr Shahid is a very warm and understanding Consultant. Makes you feel relaxed and listens to your concerns and explains everything in detail. Very reassuring and knowledgeable. I visited for infertility issues and I am pleased to confirm I become pregnant after her help and advice. I returned for a early pregnancy scan. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending for gynaecology concerns.

From the 1st consultation she was incredible, warm, very professional and filled me with confidence that she is going to do her best to help me! And that she did!! I have never in my 14years in the UK, met a doctor like her. (I have seen very many). She made me feel like a massive priority and her manner was overwhelming (in the sense that I was blown away with her care and knowledge). I will shout from the rooftops to everyone with ears, to ask to be seen by this amazing human being, who made a very nerve wrecking experience for me, very pleasant. She made such a big difference in my life, I will never forget her, and I wish for her only the best in her career! I feel emotional writing this as she has helped me so much. All the best for you, Dr Anupama Shahid, and thank you from the bottom of my heart! Xxxxx

    Hysteroscopy Endometrial or Uterine Biopsy
In September 2019, in view of my pelvic ultrasound scan findings, I had to undergo a hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy. There were two options discussed with me regarding the procedure: an out-patient hysteroscopy or a day-case hysteroscopy. Although I was a bit anxious about the pain and discomfort which might be involved during the procedure, I consented to the first option. My gynaecologist was Dr Anupama Shahid. She was just wonderful, extremely nice and kind as a human being, and an expert and super-excellent as a doctor. She performed the procedure so gently and so skilfully that truly and honestly, I didn't experience any pain at all - only feeling a little bit of pressure when some solution was used, which was quite tolerable. Therefore, I feel honoured to highly recommend Dr Anupama Shahid to any patient who might need a hysteroscopy and/or beyond.
