Dr Andrew Barlow has been working as a Consultant within the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2005. In addition to this, he worked as the Clinical Director for Cancer, as well as the Lead for the Lung Cancer MDT. As a specialist in Respiratory Medicine his clinical interests include complex airway disease, respiratory failure, sleep medicine, lung cancer and respiratory allergies. He is also the main investigator in the LuCID breath study in Watford and this has provided insights into future lung cancer screening.
He is highly dedicated in his clinical work and research and he uses the latest cutting-edge technologies, in order to improve the understanding and treatment of a patient’s lung condition. He also strongly believes in providing his patients with a patient-specific approach so the best treatments can be applied for maximal treatment success.
First came in August 2017 having been referred to Dr Barlow by Dr Katherine Fu. I was in a very desperate state and, I’m not being dramatic, but Dr Barlow saved my life. I now regularly see him here and my condition is being managed beyond all recognition. He built my confidence with his friendly, positive, professional approach. I cannot stress enough how fortunate I was to find him.
