Dr Andonis Violaris is a Consultant Cardiologist currently working at the private Harley Street Clinic. He works at Northwick Park Hospital which accepts NHS and private patients and his current NHS post is London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. His areas of specialism are general internal medicine and interventional cardiology and his areas of interest include coronary and ischaemic heart disease, chest pain, coronary stenting, dyspnea and angioplasty.

Dr Violaris graduated from Sheffield University Medical School with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees in 1984. He completed a Doctor of Medicine in 1992 and a PhD in 1998 and he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2003.

In addition, Dr Violaris is also interested in research regarding acute coronary syndromes and coronary angioplasty and stent implantation and has published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has also received the Synthelabo Prize.
