IBS gone! I reviewed Dr Mahesh at Beaumont hospital, Bolton. I work in the hospital as a HCA and have been troubled with stomach bloating, making me look pregnant!, also feel very full even with small meals, always feeling sick, tired, constipated. I had started to lose weight. Being in the hospital, I approached many doctors but they all said it is IBS, and suggested treatment didn't work. However, when I met Dr Mahesh, he wasn't convinced it was all IBS and arranged for a gastric emptying study. Oh my, it was so revealing, it helped him plan a treatment for me, and within weeks, I am so much better. I was very sceptical at first, but, once he explained the 'science' as he puts it, I followed the treatment and diet, and has really helped. I am very happy with his care.

I had seen him for abdominal pain and diarrhoea. Initial consultation was very thorough and pleased that he allowed me to express my specific concerns, which A&E and GPs had not paid attention to, I was fobbed off repeatedly even though I work as a nurse! We proceeded with colonoscopy, which was expertly performed and much better than my previous two experiences. We found changes of Crohn’s which I think was missed before, I am on the right treatment and feel much better, back to full time work. I still see him for monitoring and when I get a flare. He has explored other ways of making my immune system ‘behave’ as I like to put it, my ‘leaky gut’ has almost healed, which has made my chronic fatigue better , overall I am more energetic. Thanks again Dr Mahesh. All my family are very thankful too.

Helped my ‘Cyclical vomiting’ I recently visited this exceptional doctor for my long-standing vomiting issue, and I must say, the experience was truly remarkable. Despite previous dismissals from other doctors who just called it IBS including a Professor I saw, this particular physician showed unparalleled care. Not only did he suggest a possible diagnosis of cyclical vomiting, but also conducted thorough investigations and provided detailed explanations throughout the process. What truly set this doctor apart was hus commitment to patient education. He directed me to numerous resources about the gut-brain axis, empowering me with valuable knowledge to better understand my condition. The prescribed medications and additional tips have made a significant difference in managing my symptoms effectively. Overall, I highly recommend this doctor for their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine concern for their patients' well-being. A true gem in the medical field!

Gallstones relief! I recently had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Mahesh for my gallstones in bile duct. I had lot of abdominal pain on the right side, jaundiced and fever. CT and MRI scan was normal, so hospital gave me antibiotics and sent me home, however I was still in lot of pain. So, I decided to see Dr Mahesh. From the moment I walked into his office, I knew I was in good hands. During my consultation, Dr. Mahesh thoroughly explained the procedures of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) that he would be performing to remove my gallstones in the bile duct. He patiently answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns I had. I appreciated his detailed discussion as it helped me understand the process and feel more comfortable about the procedures. On the day of my procedures, Dr. Mahesh and his team were incredibly professional and efficient. They made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. Dr. Mahesh's expertise was evident as he expertly performed the EUS initially followed by ERCP, successfully removing my gallstones. I was amazed at how smoothly everything wen t and how quickly I was back on my feet. I am happy to say that after Dr. Mahesh's treatment, I am now pain-free. I am grateful for his exceptional skills and caring approach. He truly went above and beyond to ensure my well-being and I cannot thank him enough. I highly recommend Dr. Mahesh to anyone in need of gastroenterology care. He is a fantastic doctor who is dedicated to his patients' health and well-being. Thank you, Dr. Mahesh, for giving me a new lease on life.

I recently had the pleasure of consulting with Dr. Mahesh, a gastroenterologist at Blackburn Hospital, and I couldn't have been more impressed. His experience in cancer, endoscopy especially ERCP, stents, EUS (endoscopic ultrasound) of the pancreas, which was exactly what I needed. Dr. Mahesh's knowledge and skill were evident from the very beginning. He explained everything in a clear and concise way, putting me at ease and ensuring I understood my condition and treatment options thoroughly. He performed a complex procedure (Endoscopic ultrasound drainage of my pancreas and removal of stones) with precision and care, and I'm confident that I received the best possible treatment. But Dr. Mahesh's care went far beyond just his technical skills. He was incredibly compassionate and understanding, taking the time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions patiently. He made me feel like I was more than just a patient; he truly cared about my well-being. Thanks to Dr. Mahesh's expertise and care, I am recovering very well. I am confident that I made the right decision in choosing him as my gastroenterologist, and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking similar treatment.

Dr Mahesh has been exceptional since I was referred to him with gastro-intestinal problems. His duty of care to his patients is second to none. He ensured that I understood everything about my care, explained next steps, benefits and potential risks so I was able to make an informed decision about my own care. He ensured that nothing was missed out, scheduling both a Gastroscopy and CT Scan for me which saved my life as the CT Scan showed a perforated appendix which the NHS had missed. All the NHS had done was feel my tummy, and ask for a stool sample which came back normal so I was discharged. Had I not had the CT scan, I might not be writing this today. It is through Dr Mahesh that I was warded into Salford Royal for my perforated appendix and although it was not removed first time, at least it set the wheels in motion for its eventual removal two months later when the pain started again as it was correctly diagnosed. Dr Mahesh made the effort to contact me after my first hospitalisation to follow up which I appreciate.

I found Dr Mahesh very helpful, even in a busy clinic. He listened to be and asked open questions. I had written a long list of my issues, he took time to review all these and focused on what matters the most. He explained about gut-brain axis and microbiota, opened me to a new world of information which helped me really understand my symptoms, which was rubbished by my GP and many other specialists saying 'its all in my mind'. I would recommend all my friends and family to consult Dr Mahesh, as he strives to provide the best for you.
