Miss Valerie Saw recently performed very successful cataract surgery on both of my eyes and provided excellent advice and solutions to manage and significantly improve my dry eye and blepharitis conditions. Miss Saw is highly professional, extremely thorough, and communicated brilliantly throughout the whole process, so I felt confident every step of the way. During my initial consultation Miss Saw identified some complications with my left eye. She ensured further tests were carried out where required, to ensure the surgery would be a success. Miss Saw clearly explained: my diagnosis; all of my options; and provided excellent information regarding the surgery and aftercare. During the surgeries she explained what was happening, as a result I felt at ease during the operations. She is very patient and was willing to answer all my questions and is very personable and has great people skills. Miss Saw provided excellent aftercare and is supported by a great team who made sure I was looked after extremely well during the whole procedure. I now have a “new set of eyes” and can see clearly, and colours are bright, and details are sharp. I highly recommend Miss Saw, she is highly professional, very thorough, exceptionally knowledgeable, she communicated brilliantly, was incredibly patient and is very personable. Thank you so much!

Ms Saw is a fantastic consultant who made an effort to go the extra mile and ensure I had a smooth procedure. My recovery post surgery has been pretty seamless, mostly due to the guidance Ms Saw gave and her willingness to answer questions and be on hand when needed.

Dr Saw was extremely professional and quickly diagnosed the cause of my eye problem and thoroughly explained in detail how the eye could treated.

I felt incredibly lucky to have my cataracts removed by Ms Valerie Saw. She has a number of qualities that I think any eye doctor -- or maybe any doctor -- should have. She is remarkably attentive to her patients and explains what is happening or going to happen at every step of the way, which is particularly important for such a scary procedure as lens replacement. She also has a fantastic lightness of touch -- I have never met any doctor who would be so delicate with a patient. Apart from performing a difficult cataract removal procedure ( and my right eye, she told me, presented a problem because the cataract was difficult to remove) , she also helped me with a simpler but a very annoying condition known as a 'dry eye'. I had had it for over eight months, when she taught me the technique of hot compresses which brought a wonderful relief. This was before the operations. Now that the condition has returned and I am fighting it again, I feel grateful to Valerie because she had warned me that this might happen and also that it might last up to six months – it is always best to know what to expect. This feeling that I have been warned and know what is going on was my experience all through the worrying time of cataract removals. I felt that I was in good hands. And finally, I am of course, most grateful for the vision I now have. I have been short-sighted and wearing glasses since I was nine. It was a wonderful relief when after moving to Britain in the early 1990's I started wearing contact lenses, which I have been doing for 28 years. Unfortunately, the cataracts made the world much darker and removing them was like seeing the light for the first time. I can both drive and work at my computer without spectacles, which is wonderful. I was particularly satisfied with my vision when last week I went to see Cezanne's exhibition in Tate Modern. I have seen all the colours , all the brushstrokes so clearly, that although I had seen many paintings of Cezanne previously, this was a revelation and an ultimate joy.

VS was very thorough, reassuring and personable from the first to the final consultation. She was very careful throughout and I was extremely confident that I was in very safe hands. Everything was properly explained and I am delighted with the outcome. The whole procedure went as planned and I did not experience any problems. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
