Dr Sorena Kiani studied medicine at University College London where he was one of a small group of medical students who were awarded a scholarship to combine their medical degree with PhD research. He received his PhD in Immunology and has published several scientific and clinical research papers in allergy and immunology. He won the Best prize in the drug allergy category at the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) conference 2010, for developing an innovative method of desensitisation against a serum protein that can cause anaphylaxis. He specialised in Allergy & Clinical immunology at King's college, London.

Dr Sorena Kiani is the principal investigator, chief investigator and co-investigator in a number of international studies on novel treatments for immunodeficiency diseases including angioedema (swellings) and antibody deficiency.
