I have seen Dr Aylwin several times and cannot fault his help ,manner or professional conduct.

I found the whole experience very good. Firstly from the medical aspect I felt very confident with Dr Aylwin. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He asked very clear straightforward questions and immediately recognised key issues and concerns. He explained the biology to me very well and was decisive in determining next steps. He also understood why I might be particularly anxious having a family history of a specific health issue and put his responses in this context as well without me having to ask. I also found Dr Aylwin's private practice manager Michelle both efficient and very kind. I do not like heights, and particularly glass lifts in tall buildings, and felt very anxious about this. She noted this and wrote to me after my telephone call to say that she was in fact going to be in on the day of my appointment and would come and meet me which she did. Her understanding, thoughtfulness and humour really made a difference to me both in the run up to the appointment and on the day. Dr Aylwin also asked if I needed help going back down in the lift. Over the past few days when I have attended for other tests other staff in the building have gone out of their way to help me with the lifts. Thank you

Dr Simon Aylwin is an excellent endocrinologist. He listens attentively, has a good sense of humour and makes one feel completely at ease. He explained clearly to me and to my GP what my condition is.

I had issues with the medication I was taking and he was the only doctor that was able to help me. He is really great.

Dr Aylwin was the third endocrinologist I saw. He took the time to really listen to me and what I was going through, he spent time reviewing my test results and gave me options. This was extremely valuable as with the other specialists I saw before him, I didn’t feel heard, and I felt like I had no options. He took the time to answer questions and explain things to me. Thanks to Dr Aylwin, I am currently in remission and off the medication for almost 7 months. I still am having to have blood controls but I feel like even if it flares up, I have a doctor I trust and feel comfortable with. I wouldn’t be in the condition I am today if it wasn’t for him.
