Professor Ronak Rajani is a consultant cardiologist in heart valve disease at King's College London where he is also a professor of cardiovascular imaging.

He specialises in the monitoring and management of patients with heart valve disease and runs specialist clinics for patients with mitral valve disease who are at high risk for surgical repair or replacement. He is also experienced in heart failure and hereditary cardiac disorders.

Prof Rajani is also the cardiology lead for cardiac computed tomography and the non-structural heart valve clinic at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. Additionally, he is the NIHR specialist group lead for cardiovascular services in south London and southeast London representative for the Royal College of Physicians and the British Cardiovascular Society. He also serves on NHS England's clinical advisory committee for specialised cardiac service commissioning.

Prof Rajani was awarded the British Cardiovascular Society/American College of Cardiology Fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging and trained at the Royal Brompton Hospital. In 2006, he undertook a research degree in echocardiography and has published more than 180 papers in the field. He remains active in research, particularly in the applications of cardiac CT for cardiac risk prediction and cardiac structural and electrophysiology interventions.
