Dr Philip Bell is a Consultant specialising in Sport and Exercise Medicine. He also holds the position as Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine. He has worked for the Royal Ballet School, Wimbledon Championships, Derby County FC and at the ATP's World Tour Finals.
Dr Bell qualified in Medicine from the University of Sheffield in 1982 and chose to specialise within the field of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Between 1995 and 2001, he worked as the lead doctor for the England Cricket team. He went on tour with them to South Africa in 1995 and to Pakistan in 1996. Furthermore, he helped to set up a Science and Medicine Advisory Group (SMAG) to provide world class medicine for the England Cricket team. He worked for the Musculoskeletal service in the NHS in Oxfordshire but resigned in 2013 to work in his clinics in Buckinghamshire and Harley Street.
He has lectures both nationally and internationally, he is an examiner for the University of Bath and he also provides lectures at the University of Nottingham.
