Dr Bester provided my daughter aged then 16-17 years with 18 months of treatment. We were very impressed by his manner and advice, importantly, also was my daughter who had not engaged constructively with her first psychiatrist. Dr Bester had been our GP's first recommendation but he had initially been unavailable due to his busy diary. A calming and considerate professional in all respects.

Dr Bester was calm and reassuring and honest throughout the treatment of our daughter. He explained things to us clearly and used strong analogies which helped us to visualise and understand what was happening to our daughter and how the treatment works, given that we had no prior experience of severe mental health conditions. He communicated with a good balance of optimism and realism and we felt included and part of the program. We would highly recommend Dr Bester.
