Dr Michael Robson, Consultant Nephrologist, is currently working within the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust. He sees patients in a private setting within the Shard Outpatient Centre and London Bridge Hospital. He is highly specialised in all aspects of renal medicine (nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation), with a special focus on lupus, vasculitis and glomerulonephritis.

Dr Robson began his medical education at the University of Oxford, where he graduated with a First Class degree in 1989. His specialist training in nephrology was at King's College and Guy's Hospitals. He was awarded a Medical Research Council fellowship to study glomerulonephritis at Imperial College London, and was awarded a PhD in 2000. He was appointed to his current NHS post in 2002, he is now the Nephrology Lead in lupus nephritis and vasculitis clinic in his NHS Trust.

Dr Robson is an active researcher with a keen interest in glomerulonephritis, and its pathology to discover novel therapeutics. He was also the Chief Investigator for the PAVE trial, a multi-centre clinical trial examining how to preserve vascular access for haemodialysis. Additionally, he was also the Chair of the UK Renal Association Clinical Practice Guideline Committee for 4 years until June 2021.
