Dr Ugwumadu graduated from Medical School in 2004 and completed her postgraduate specialist training in a variety of South London hospitals, including St George's Hospital, Kingston Hospital and Croydon University Hospital. Discovering an interest in Reproductive medicine and surgery, she undertook further advanced gynaecological training in Subfertility and Reproductive Health, including a Fellowship in Endometriosis and Minimal access surgery. Additionally, she completed a two-year Clinical Fellowship in Premature birth and Recurrent miscarriage at St Mary's Hospital.
She is currently a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Ashford & St Peter's Hospital, where she also holds the position of Lead Consultant for Fertility, Reproductive Medicine and Preterm Birth. Dr Ugwumadu is regarded as a Reproductive Health Specialist, providing care from preconception to birth.
In addition, she has an active involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and has been published in numerous journals and academic books.

I first met Dr Lillian Ugwumadu in October 2019, She has been such a support for me in dealing with Endometriosis over this time. Her professionalism and understanding is very reassuring and has given me 100% trust in her throughout my whole experience. she is very friendly and I always feel very comfortable being able to discuss personal medical issue's with her in a very open manner. Lillian's expertise in making a plan of action when we discuss issue's has been superb. Executes delivery in everything Lillian says she will do for me, whether it be booking scans, following up with results in timely manner or answering questions when I have felt unsure of things, the service in which I have received from her is efficient, polite and professional.

I found out that I’m pregnant!!!! Thank you so much for removing my endometriosis and making our dream come true. We are on cloud nine and couldn’t be happier.

We had a beautiful pool birth and we are all home and doing very well. Thank you so much for everything you have done that enabled this outcome. Thank you for listening to me, supporting me, advocating for me and for being so caring and attentive when I did eventually fall pregnant. Thank you again for all your care and support over the last few months. I’m nearly 25 weeks pregnant now and can still hardly believe it! It 100% wouldn’t have happened when it did if it wasn’t for your treatment, so I cannot thank you enough.

Lilian was a very caring and considerate doctor during my consultation and treatment. She carefully talked through the options with me before my laparoscopy and the pros of cons of having it versus going straight for fertility treatment. She listened to what I really wanted and supported me with my final decision. As a result of the laparoscopy I got pregnant naturally and couldn’t be more grateful to Lilian and her team for enabling this to happen for me.
