Ms Katerina Bambang

Ms Katerina Bambang MRCOG, PhD, is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Sub-Specialist in Reproductive Medicine with nearly a decade of experience at the Hewitt Fertility Centre, Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust. She is also the founder of The Delphi Clinic, where she integrates her expertise in fertility care with a holistic, patient-centred approach.

Katerina specialises in fertility preservation, offering expert advice to patients considering egg and sperm freezing, and is particularly recognised for her work in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and recurrent miscarriage. She leads fertility preservation services for children and young adults, and is a founding member of the Northern Consortium for Fertility Preservation. Alongside her fertility practice, she also runs a dedicated Paediatric Gynaecology clinic at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital NHS Trust.

Her academic background is equally impressive. Katerina holds a PhD in early pregnancy and completed her core training in Birmingham and Manchester before undertaking sub-specialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, where she was appointed as a consultant in 2019. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to books, and continues to supervise PhD-level research. Her current research interests include the role of nutrition in early pregnancy and miscarriage.

Fluent in Greek, having spent 20 years living in Cyprus before moving to the UK, Katerina is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, the British Fertility Society, and the European Society of Human Reproduction & Embryology (ESHRE). She also sits on the steering committee for the ESHRE European Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine.

Katerina is one of the few specialists in the UK to hold formal certification in integrative gynaecology, an emerging field that combines evidence-based medicine with holistic approaches to optimise reproductive health.
