Amazing doctor

Ignore my star ratings this Doctor sorts out those of us all others have failed or destroyed. Phenomenal up to date knowledge in orthopaedics, sports science for rehab and recovery, neurology, pain science, psychology and all of them combined. He can read a "normal MRI" and tell you your quadriceps is failing as you have a significant knee injury. Treats the whole person and has acute psychological insight. He may blind you with "your neural networks need reprogramming" and not have the clinic time to explain this complex but crucial COMMON problem ie. the cause of Chronic Pain. Just watch his YouTube videos for clarification. And do the exercises they really are the answer. An Eyeore-ish manner (world weary "why is the world so stupid"- which I agree with) hides a kind heart and genuine concern. I've had 13 yrs since first meeting him to form this opinion I can't imagine where I'd be today if Id never met him. Oh yes: Dead! He just saved my life when nobody in NHS wanted to take responsibility.

Very professional, my condition was explained to me with consideration, as knowledge of the medical language, and my problem was difficult to understand.

Dr Outhwaite was the first doctor I came across who seems to know what causes the burning sensation at the inside of my legs. Over the last decades I had numerous doctors looking into the problem and I had vein treatment in Hongkong, Bonn, Monaco and London. Each time it seemed to be better for a short time but a few weeks later the pain was back. He explained to me that I am hyper flexible and by drawing a picture on paper of the nerves that are involved in the legs and rest of the body and how they are connected, I understood. In the meantime I have had 2 physiotherapy sessions (rather painful) and felt better the night after the first one, but the pain was back the following day (apparently that is normal). Today was the second and so far I feel fine . It, hopefully, will bring a lasting result. I cannot judge Dr. Outhwaite's bed-side manner, since I had no operation.

He localised the pain, excellent follow up and also very good at explaining what the issue is in layman terms- how to micro manage the condition. Very professional.

Dr Outhwaite is the best consultant I have ever met. He can diagnose problems with incredible accuracy. He is always kind and patient.
