Dr Devinder Singh Bansi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who qualified from Southampton University Medical School in 1988. He undertook his training in gastroenterology at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, the Middlesex Hospital in London and Royal London Hospital where he received comprehensive training in therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and oesophageal physiology. During his specialist training, Dr Bansi also obtained his MD degree studying the immunological mechanisms in primary sclerosing cholangitis. Dr Bansi completed his training in general medicine and gastroenterology in 1998. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Medicine to the Hammersmith Hospital NHS Trust and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School (Imperial College) in 1999.

Dr Bansi has a particular interest in gastrointestinal malignant disease, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatopancreaticobiliary medicine. He is an expert in therapeutic endoscopy and ERCP and is the lead for interventional endoscopy at the Trust.

Dr Bansi is actively involved in research and has published a number of peer-reviewed papers. He is also a member of numerous national and international medical associations.
