From my first meeting when l was completely distressed having lost my sight, l was filled with hope by Mr Park. Every member of staff that l came into contact with over the last eight weeks have been comforting and understanding. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Park and his team. You have given me my life back and l feel like l have won the lottery. From the bottom of me heart thank you so very much you are indeed a miracle worker.

I was very scared about my operation as I'm only young to have this condition and I needed a major eye surgery. I lost the sight in one eye suddenly and needed surgery to address this - I felt very traumatised by what had happened with my health. Mr Park was very patient and really listened to my concerns. He explained everything clearly so I could understand all my options fully. He was honest about his recommendation but didn't make me feel pressured. I needed a little time to adjust to needing the surgery and he understood that. The surgery itself went incredibly smoothly and succeeded way past what I expected. I am recovering really well both physically and emotionally thanks to the care I received. I was able to be brave and confident through surgery and recovery because I trusted Mr Park so fully.

I first met Dr Park in February 2021 where he diagnosed my detached retina in the left eye. This was due to my diabetic retinopathy, previous to this I had a number of laser treatments with the NHS. The damage that had occurred in my left eye was very severe and even Dr Park initially gave me a 50/50 chance of regaining my vision back after surgery. A couple weeks later Dr Park had arranged a day/time for the operation. On the day of the operation Dr Park came to see me before the operation and very quickly eased my nerves and kept me calm. We talked about 'normal' things before the operation which helped me greatly. After 3 hours of surgery I came out and Dr Park came to inform me the operation was a success! He had managed to put the retina back into place with a gas bubble and removed majority of the retinopathy. He also managed to conduct over 1000 shots of laser during the surgery. Not going to lie, there were complications however Dr Park being the skilled surgeon he is managed to overcome these issues easily. Today my vision in the left is back to 85%, which is fantastic considering where I was! My right eye also needed to have surgery as Dr Park could see early signs of the retina being pulled by the vessels. My right was nowhere near as bad as the left and when Dr Park said he would like to operate I jumped at the chance, knowing what he achieved with my left eye and I had 100% faith in Dr Park for this second operation. Before the operation Dr Park made time to come and see me, we talked about 'normal ' things again which really puts to you at ease before an operation. After 2 hours of surgery I came out and Dr Park informed me the operation was a success! Again he managed to secure the retina in place with gas bubble. The aftercare treatment offered by Dr Park was just fantastic he saw me every 2 weeks and took his time during the check-ups to ensure the retina was in the correct position. He also gave me homework to do at home which also helped me in my recovery. Today my vision is above driving standard which is just amazing and something which I could only dream about before the operations! I would highly recommend Dr Park he has truly given me a second chance in life! He is a very talented and skilled surgeon. The way Dr Park conducts himself and the way he explains things to you is in a way you can understand easily. I feel I have gained a new friend in Dr Park! I am so grateful our paths have crossed and would not hesitate in recommending Dr Park if you are looking to have surgery on your eyes.

Listening to your concerns and explained so you understand the procedure so you understood what you were about to have done , puts you at ease , checks in to make sure all is ok before you go to theatre

Mr Dong Park has carried out 4 operations on my eyes and before each procedure he explained clearly what was going to happen. He listened carefully to what I had to say during our discussions and answered any questions i had in a pleasant manner. I always felt very safe in his hands when being operated on.
