Mr David Nasralla is a consultant general and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeon. He is particularly interested in liver, pancreatic, and gallbladder problems, as well as complex abdominal wall hernias and emergency surgery. He works as a Consultant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB), Multi-organ Retrieval, and Liver Transplant Surgeon for the NHS at the Royal Free Hospital in London. His expertise focuses on treating complex conditions of the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder, and he receives referrals from the United Kingdom and abroad.
Mr Nasralla studied medicine and received his PhD from Oxford University Medical School. His doctoral research looked into a method of keeping the liver alive outside the body (normothermic liver perfusion) in order to increase its transplantation readiness. He has won numerous national and international honours for his work, including the International Liver Transplantation Society's Rising Star Award. The British Transplantation Society awarded him the coveted Medawar Medal, and he is frequently requested to give presentations at international surgical conferences. His work has also appeared on the covers of Nature, BBC Radio 4's Inside Health, and the BBC Two television series Hospital.
Mr Nasralla is a member of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, the UK and Ireland HPB Association, the British Transplantation Society, and the International Liver Transplantation Society. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Nasralla carefully explained the surgery I was about to undergo. Mr Nasralla practices in a difficult field where the prognoses and outcomes can be difficult so it is a delight to be with a consultant who exudes professionalism, who is clearly at the top of his field and is able to explain the issues and solutions in a clear yet realistic manner. Mr Nasralla is a very caring, good and experience consultant, he explained things very clearly and logically, his mannerisms make me very comfortable and has confident in him.
