The actual physio itself was first rate, which is supported by the fact he is clearly proud of his work, which is shown by the high level of investigation he puts into the early sessions but also throughout. What really impressed was what I noticed from working in my profession, that he showed a consistant professional manner and with sophisticated communication skills to build a rapport and extract the required information to assist his work.

Charlie has detailed knowledge and a passion for physiotherapy which means you are in good hands. His range of experience and interest in future developments marks him out as much as his incredibly professional (yet enthusiastic) approach. His diagnosis of my ailments and articulation of what could be possible really helped me understand my diagnosis and to come to terms with it. His inspirational treatment and comforting "bedside" manner was reassuring yet challenging. Thanks to Charlie's consistent help and emotional intelligence, he was able to fast-track my return to full sport some 2-3 months sooner than my doctors had initially predicted. I am certain that I would not have been able to achieve similar results with many other physios which tells you all you need to know about Charlie. Thank you.

    Patient seen for:
Charlie is a very knowledgeable physiotherapist. He came highly recommended and I was very pleased with his advice regarding a frozen shoulder. My recovery was much quicker than we both expected and I believe that is purely down to his excellent care and treatment plan. It mattered to him that I could get back to doing the sports I enjoyed and tailored his exercises to make sure I had the strength to do that. He would be my go to physio for any concerns I might have in the future.

I first came to Charlie in a lot of discomfort and pain in both shoulders. After 3 months of going to another physio where rehab was slow and painful I decided to move after still not being told what the problem was and how to fix it. After 1 session with Charlie he was able to tell me what he believed the issue to be (and was right) and set me up on a 3-6 month rehab program. After just over 3 months my shoulder pain has entirely gone and I am able to return to the gym without any discomfort. Expertise, professionalism and patience right from the start

Charlie is simply amazing. He guided me through my recovery journey after an ACL rupture and two menisci tears last year. Not only did he know which are the right exercises for each phase of recovery, but he also has helped me mentally handle a year of physiotherapy. I am not a very patient person and have never been great at keeping a routine. So frankly the fact that I am now running 10ks is probably 70% him 30% me!

Charlie's professionalism is outstanding. He is knowledgeable, friendly and calm. I particularly like how he breaks down the treatment, identifies the issues and explains his approach thoroughly. He also motivates me to keep going. I can't praise him enough. Thanks a lot, Charlie!

"Charlie Goodchild is a top class physiotherapist and I am glad to regularly work with him. He has expertly treated many of my patients. He treats both acute injuries and chronic conditions with truly outstanding outcomes. Patients can avoid needing to undergo more invasive procedures or operations and, for those still requiring surgery, will make their rehabilitation go smoothly. He has great rapport with his patients and provides them with the care and attention each needs to make a complete recovery. "
