Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist

I focus on child and family - centered holistic care and can manage a significant range of conditions for Newborn infants to any young person under 18 years of age. Many common and rare conditions can be assessed, investigated, managed or signposted as for a range of mental health, developmental, behavioural conditions that will require a multi-disciplinary approach or onward referral.

The following conditions can be considered for referral to my outpatient clinic at Spire Alexandra hospital. I am able to provide a face to face consultation (Saturday morning) or virtually if requested (weekdays 6-8 pm). I can see self-funded patients as well as insured patients and will always liaise with the GP with regards to short and long-term management and follow-up arrangements.

· Any concerns that you may have relating to your Newborn infant.

· Infantile colic, fussy baby, excessive crying/distress, cow's milk protein allergy/intolerance, gastro-oesophageal reflux. Concerns about feeding, weaning, growth, development or immunizations.

· Heart murmurs.

· Food allergy and intolerance. Iron deficiency. Eating disorder or problems with feeding. Nutritional and Dietary advice.

· Recurrent cough, wheeze and Shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, hypertension, postural hypotension, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.

· Thyroid gland abnormality.

· Chronic urticaria (Hives), eczema, asthma, hay-fever, allergic rhinitis.

· Chronic sinusitis and recurrent ear infections / sore throats, glue ear.

· Recurrent infections or temperature in general. Lymph gland enlargement.

· Recurrent headaches, migraine, neuralgic pain, chronic pain, complex regional pain syndrome.

· Funny turns, breath-holding, seizures (epileptic and non-epileptic events), vacant spells, dizziness, faints.

· Involuntary movements – Simple Tics, PANS/PANDAS, Tourette's syndrome.

· Recurrent abdominal pain, irritable bowel, bowel urgency, constipation/soiling, diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting, jaundice, blood and mucous in stool, gastritis/hyperacidity, gastro-oesophageal reflux.

· Urinary tract infections, urinary urgency and bed-wetting, foreskin infection, blood/ glucose/ protein in urine, excessive thirst and passage of urine.

· Concerns around growth and puberty, diabetes, lack of weight gain or excessive weight gain. Hypoglycaemia.

· Joint pain and swelling, Hypermobility, joint dislocation, back pain.

· Gait issues. In-toeing, toe walking, waddling, limp.

· Skin rash/lumps. Hair loss, depigmentation.

· Chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, lethargy.

· Concerns about possible Autism, ADHD, sleep disorder.

· Problems relating to genetic/inherited conditions.

· Interpretation of abnormal blood / stool/ urine tests or x-ray/ ultrasound/ CT/ MRI scans.

As parents you should feel empowered to advocate for your child's health and I will endeavour to listen to all your concerns and hopefully agree with you on the best way forwards.
