Dr Abbi Lulsegged is a consultant physician with a specialist interest in endocrinology and diabetes. He undertook his undergraduate training at Guy's Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1994. He later went on to complete his specialist training in diabetes and endocrinology, working at both North and South Thames Deaneries, alongside postings at University College Hospital, the Royal Free and Guys St Thomas’ Hospitals. Later in his career, he was appointed a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in recognition of his service to his field and medicine in general.

He has a passion for his chosen speciality and enjoys the variety of unselected cases requiring specialist endocrine and diabetes input including thyroid adrenal, pituitary, bone/calcium metabolism, parathyroid, reproductive endocrinology, obesity, and diabetes. Due to the overlap with endocrinological disorders, he also sees patients with specific complaints such as tiredness and excessive sweating. Professor Gordana Prelevic has over thirty years' experience in clinical endocrinology. She gained her medical degree from the Belgrade University School of Medicine where she later became a Professor of Medicine. 

Professor Prelevic currently works as a Consultant Endocrinologist. Her clinical expertise lies in reproductive endocrinology (with a specialist interest in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopause and infertility) and osteoporosis. In her clinics Dr Prelevic see women with wide range of hormonal disorders including absent and/or irregular periods, premenstrual syndrome, unwanted hair growth (hirsutism), hyperprolactinameia, infertility. She also see patients with thyroid disorders, particulalry women with autoimmune thyroid disease who want to get pregnant. A significant proportion of her clinical practice is management of peri- and post-menopausal women and also women with premature menopause providing them with individually tailored HRT.

Dr Prelevic is deeply committed to teaching and training. She has published over 300 original research and review articles and contributed to numerous endocrinology books. Through her clinical and research work, she has contributed greatly to the field, pioneering the use of anti-androgen therapy in PCOS.

Dr Harvinder Chahal is a consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Bariatric Medicine and General Internal Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He's also Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London.

Dr Chahal is an experienced endocrinologist in all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology. He qualified from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine in 2001. He trained in endocrinology and diabetes at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Owing to his medical excellence, in 2007, he was awarded the prestigious Medical Research Council training fellowship to undertake research in the field of pituitary tumorigenesis, resulting in several influential research papers in high impact journals. His expertise has seen him receive several national and international prizes for his research and clinical work. Additionally, he has written several textbook chapters and is the co-investigator on several diabetes and endocrinology research studies.

Furthermore, he is the Lead Bariatric Physician and medically manages patients prior to and after bariatric surgery and pharmacotherapy in order to reduce their complication risks and optimise the health benefits of weight loss.

He is an enthusiastic teacher of undergraduate students and postgraduate doctors. In 2016, he was appointed the Director of Clinical Studies at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is a teacher and examiner on the Middlesex University London Postgraduate Diploma course in Diabetes and Endocrinology. He is also the module lead on the Obesity Medicine MSc course at Imperial College London.

Former President of The British Thyroid Association, Dr Vanderpump is a consultant endocrinologist currently working privately within several London Clinics. Having graduated from University of Birmingham in 1987, he underwent specialised training in diabetes and endocrinology, working through various training posts in both the Midlands and North East England.

Later in his career, he started working as a consultant at the North Middlesex Hospital NHS Trust in 1996. His work as an NHS consultant would span 20 years, before Dr Vanderpump's NHS career came to an end at the Royal Free in 2016, following 17 year career at the hospital.

Dr Florian Wernig is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College. Dr Wernig has a strong basis in research as well as training from top London institutions. He completed his MD in molecular endocrinology at the University of Innsbruck and carried out further research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and at St George's University of London. Dr Malcolm Prentice qualified at King’s College Hospital and has a BSc in Pharmacology from King’s College, London.

He is co-author of the National Guidelines for the Management of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer and was one of the first in the UK to set up a one-stop thyroid nodule clinic with ultrasound in 1990.

Later in his career, Dr Prentice initiated the National Training Course for Thyroid Ultrasound and Biopsy jointly with the support of the Royal College of Radiologists which he has run since 2005. Dr Amit Allahabadia is a Consultant Endocrinologist with clinics based in London and Sheffield. Since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 1991 he has gone on to be awarded a postgraduate MD for his investigations into the clinical and genetic factors leading to the development of autoimmune thyroid disease. With substantial clinical experience managing a variety of endocrine diseases, he has a specialist interest in thyroid disorders working as a Consultant Endocrinologist within a large tertiary Endocrine Centre at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

He leads the provision of thyroid follow up services and radioiodine treatment for benign thyroid disorders and sees referrals from a wide area including patients with thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism, goitre and subclinical thyroid disease. He has a particular interest in difficult hypothyroidism including the investigation and management of patients with persistent TSH elevation, unstable thyroid function and persistent symptoms of hypothyroidism. 

Dr Allahabadia jointly runs a busy regional Thyroid Eye / Endocrine Clinic with a Consultant Orbital and Oculoplastic Surgeon specialising in management of thyroid eye disease and works closely with nationally renowned endocrine surgeons as well as radiologists with a specialist interest in endocrine disorders ensuring the best care for his patients when radiological investigation, ophthalmology input or endocrine surgery are required.

Professor Dworakowska has a broad clinical practice in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity and general/internal medicine. She provides a holistic assessment of complex medical problems and difficult to treat disorders including problems with libido, appetite and tiredness. She completed her training in endocrinology and diabetes in London at Barts and the London Hospital, as well as at Kings College Hospital and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital. She undertook her specialty training in general/internal medicine at Medical University of Gdansk (Gdansk, Poland), Otto-von-Guericke University (Magdeburg, Germany) and Katharinen Hospital (Stuttgart, Germany). 

Professor Dworakowska worked as a Consultant Physician in Medicine and Endocrinology (locum) at Kings College Hospital (2012-2017) and as a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes (locum) at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital (2013-2014). 

Professor Dworakowska speaks English, Polish, Russian and German. She has exceptional feedback from her patients and their families that she acts with dignity, empathy and respect, communicating information in a way everybody can follow.
