Dr Sami is the founder and director of Digestive Health UK clinics based in central London. He is also a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Mayo Clinic in London. He has practiced and trained at world renowned centres of excellence including the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA which is consistently ranked as the number one hospital in the world!

He has an Associate Professor title and has authored and co-authored several high impact papers and national guidelines and propelled himself to be a key opinion leader in his field. Dr Sami was awarded a PhD for his work during his National Endoscopy Research Fellowship from the University of Nottingham in 2015. Professor Melvin Lobo is a senior Consultant Cardiovascular Physician based in the Bart's Heart Centre and the William Harvey Research Institute. He has a specialist interest in blood pressure disorders of all types, autonomic control of the circulation and also resistant hypertension and device-based therapies thereof. He is an accredited Clinical Hypertension Specialist of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) and British Hypertension Society.

Professor Lobo is Director of the Bart's Blood Pressure Clinic which is a Hypertension Centre of Excellence and receives referrals of patients with complex circulatory disorders on a national/international basis and has contributed to several landmark studies in hypertension, particularly in the field of novel device therapy of hypertension. His research work has been featured on television and in the national press on numerous occasions.

In addition to hypertension, he is also an acknowledged expert in the management of low blood pressure (hypotension) and BP variability disorders and PoTS (postural tachycardia syndrome) and sees patients on a national basis with these issues in the Barts BP Clinic and on an international basis in his private practice. He has recently co-written and co-edited the Textbook of PoTS which was published in October 2020. He has the largest cohort of medication intolerant patients nationally and has evolved, published and lectured on specialised strategies with liquid and patch formulations of antihypertensives to get around intolerances to tablets.

He is recognised globally as a key opinion leader in his field and this is reflected in numerous roles in multicentre clinical trials, invited lectures at major conferences and also as an editor/reviewer of numerous journals including JACC and Lancet. More recently he has authored national and co-authored international guidelines for device therapy of hypertension which were published in the prestigious European Heart Journal.

Professor Lobo organises and co-chairs the UK Annual Symposia on Device Therapy of Hypertension with a distinguished panel of international authorities in hypertension medicine. He is a specialist adviser to NICE and the European Society of Hypertension on interventional therapies in hypertension and a member of the Council on Hypertension of the European Society of Cardiology.

Dr Yiannis Kallis is a Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at the Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust) and the Royal Free Hospital London, two of the UK's leading teaching hospitals, where his practice covers a broad range of gastro-intestinal diseases. He specialises in liver disease and disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts, and runs the NE London outreach liver transplant network. He is Clinical Lead for Hepatology at the Royal London Hospital and Network Director for Hepatology across NE London integrated care service.

He is a highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy, with a particular expertise in complex ERCP (endoscopy of the bile duct and pancreatic duct). He is clinical lead for ERCP services at Bart Health for the HPB cancer board. He is at the forefront of research into developing novel endoscopic treatments for pancreato-biliary cancers, and is a specialist advisor to the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in this field. He serves on the British Society for Gastroenterology (BSG) liver committee and the British Liver Transplant Group committee.

He graduated from Cambridge University with Distinction and undertook postgraduate specialty training across several leading London teaching hospitals. He was awarded a PhD in 2010 for his research into liver fibrosis, stem cells and regeneration at Imperial College London and Cancer Research UK, and publishes his work in high impact peer-reviewed journals.

He is currently an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL, where he is a principal investigator on several multi centre clinical trials in treatments for advanced liver disease and for inflammatory disorders of bile ducts. He regularly lectures in gastroenterology and hepatology and supervises MSc student projects in liver disease at QMUL. He sits on the writing group for national guidelines in liver disease.

Dr Dan Ornadel is a London-based consultant respiratory physician who treats all aspects of respiratory medicine in addition to acute general medicine. He has particular expertise in bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS), as well as vast experience in sleep apnea diagnosis. Dr Ornadel has previously served as clinical lead for respiratory medicine and lung cancer at Northwick Park Hospital. He was also the lead respiratory physician at the London Olympics and ran a specialised clinic for elite athletes with breathing difficulties at the Olympic Medical Institute.

Dr Francesco Lo Monaco is a Cardiologist based in London with almost 20 years of experience. He currently sees patients at the following locations:

He graduated with honours from the University of Pavia, Italy in 1997 and undertook specialist cardiology training in 2003. Dr Paul Scott is a Consultant Cardiologist based at the London Bridge Hospital and BMI Blackheath. His NHS base is King’s College Hospital. He sees patients with all types of general cardiology problems with particular expertise in heart rhythm disorders. He has more than 17 years cardiology experience.

His areas of clinical interest include the interventional treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, treating patients with palpitations, heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Much of his work involves catheter ablation, including atrial fibrillation ablation. In addition, he implants pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators, including cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure patients.

Dr Scott qualified in Medicine at the University of Birmingham in 2000. Following this, he undertook general medicine and general cardiology training in Cambridge and Southampton. He completed a Doctorate degree at the University of Southampton in 2012. He finished his training with cardiac rhythm fellowships at the University Hospital Southampton, the Royal Jubilee Hospital, in the University of British Columbia, Canada, and Hammersmith and St Mary’s Hospitals in London. Dr Scott joined the specialist register for Cardiology in 2012. He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at King’s College Hospital in 2013.

Professor Laurence Lovat is a leading Gastroenterologist working in the heart of London.

He has a special interest in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of upper gastrointestinal cancer (cancer of the food pipe and stomach) and diseases affecting the food pipe such as indigestion, reflux and Barrett's disease. Professor Lovat received his medical degree from University College London Hospitals in 1987. As part of his training, he gained a first class honours degree in Nutrition. Professor Lovat is passionate about research and driving advances in his field. Early in his career, he was awarded a prestigious research training award and completed a PhD in his field. He was appointed as the first Head of the newly established Research Department for Tissue and Energy at University College London and was awarded his professorship in 2014 based on the quality of his research into complications of acid reflux disease and minimally invasive treatment to prevent and treat oesophageal cancer. Dr Voi Shim Wong, Consultant Gastroenterologist, is currently working within the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust in London. He is highly experienced in every aspect of gastroenterology with a specific interest in dyspepsia, inflammatory bowel disease and liver diseases. He has developed excellent skills in endoscopic procedures, which he performs often.

Dr Wong started his medical education at the University of St Andrew’s, where he graduated in 1987 with a Bachelors in medicine and surgery. After graduating he then went on to complete his Higher Speciality Training in gastroenterology and hepatology in institutions throughout the UK including Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge, and Liverpool.

Dr Wong is fully accredited in Bowel Cancer Screening Colonoscopy and is dedicated to achieving near-perfect outcomes for his patients.

Professor James Hull, Consultant Respiratory Physician, has been working within the Royal Brompton NHS Trust since 2012. He has a wealth of experience in treating respiratory issues associated with physical exercise and more general issues like chronic debilitating cough, persistent throat symptoms, and unexplained shortness of breath.

Professor Hull began his medical education studying Exercise physiology at St George’s Medical School, then went on to study Medicine here graduating in 2000. He then proceeded to undergo specialist training in General and Respiratory Medicine. He also undertook a research degree, which resulted in him being awarded a PhD in 2010. During his career, he has also developed specialist skills in assisting athletes with respiratory conditions.

He is recognised as an expert in his field, he currently works as a respiratory expert for the International Olympic Committee and the English Institute of Sport. He has also previously held the position of Clinical Lecturer at the National Institute for Health Research and UCLA.

Dr Malik, Consultant Cardiologist, is based in London has over 25 years of experience. He was promoted to Consultant Cardiologist at St Marys Hospital in 2003. He continues to practise at St Mary’s as well as Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals, Imperial College Hospitals and works within private practices as well. Additionally, he was appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College in 2003.

He was appointed Clinical Lead for the Heart Attack Programme in 2010, a year later he was appointed Director at Hammersmith Hospital for the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. Dr Malik is involved in many programmes with the Hammersmith NHS trust, leading the large Heart Attack Centre (HAC) program at this NHS Trust, delivering the best treatment available to patients in West London. On top of this, he has been appointed the Director of Structural Heart Disease at Hammersmith Hospital. He continues to contribute to the education of his colleagues by performing "live cases" to physicians around the world.
