Mr Ali Ghoz is a Professor of Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery. He practices in London and Reading. Mr Dabis graduated from Bart’s and the Royal London Medical school in 2006 with honours. He completed his higher orthopaedic surgical training in South West London, rotating through the region’s major trauma centre and the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, the largest joint replacement unit in Europe.

Mr Dabis completed two knee specialty fellowships, nationally in the UK Osteotomy centre in Basingstoke, and internationally in the Brisbane Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre. He was awarded the BOSTAA travelling fellowship, which he completed in 2017, visiting pioneering surgeons in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Austria. He is fellowship trained in Trauma, and was awarded the AO trauma fellowship, which he completed in Boston Massachusetts, affiliated with Harvard Trauma. He also attended the trauma limb reconstruction fellowship in Pretoria, South Africa.  

Mr Dabis was appointed as a Consultant specialist Knee and Trauma surgeon in Kingston Hospital in July 2019, and is the Trauma Lead. He treats all aspects of knee pathology, ranging from paediatric knee conditions to complex and revision knee surgery. His main passion is young adult knee preservation and all aspects of sports knee injuries, including osteotomy and ligament ruptures. He also focuses on partial, total knee and revision knee replacements. He is trained in using navigation, robotics and minimally invasive techniques.    

Mr Dabis has also completed a sports and exercise medicine masters in University College London. He is a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee surgery & Arthroscopy, British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association, and the International society of Arthroscopy, Knee surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.  

Mr Dabis has received various orthopaedic awards from prestigious specialty societies including ESSKA. Mr Dabis has presented nationally and internationally, and published extensively on ligament surgery, osteotomy and specialised procedures. At the end of this fellowship he was appointed as a permanent consultant in the unit and now co-leads the fellowship programme, teaching the next generation of hip and knee surgeons. He has received highly specialist training in surgery for hip dysplasia at Guy’s Hospital in London and is lead for the adult peri-acetabular osteotomy service in Oxford.


Simon is a firm believer in offering patients evidence based treatments. He is actively involved in developing the evidence base in hip and knee surgery through leading and participating in research projects. He has produced over 60 papers and conference presentations. He has been awarded multiple prizes for his research work. He is actively involved in hip and knee research projects at the University of Oxford, Imperial College London and Bournemouth University.

Mr Davidson is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip surgery, metastatic cancer in the hip & pelvis, and general trauma.

His NHS practice is based at Guy’s & St Thomas’s Hospitals.
