The Lister Hospital
Welcome to The Lister Hospital
In the heart of London's Chelsea, The Lister Hospital and its associated outpatient facilities have been providing top class care for more than three decades. They're best known for their superb fertility clinic, one of Britain's most successful with over 17,000 very special babies born so far. They also specialise in gastroenterology, cardiology and orthopaedic treatments at various well-respected centres of excellence. As well as a popular 24/7 rapid referral service for GPs, they have an excellent walk-in Urgent Care centre where people can get a fast diagnosis plus instant access to the facility's superb medical teams and marvellous facilities. You can even book same day or next day diagnostics and screening at any of their outpatient and diagnostic centres. The Lister enjoys a position as a leading private treatment centre for women’s health services like gynaecology, advanced breast screening and menopausal health, with a one-stop breast clinic and rapid access screening service. There's a great rapid referral service to make sure you get the immediate assessment and treatment you need, with instant access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, highly-skilled medical teams and world-class treatments. Additional services include expertise in colorectal surgery, rare cancers, and major surgical reconstruction, thanks to an on-site intensive care unit. No wonder the Care Quality Commission gave them an 'Outstanding' rating for quality outcomes.
Clean, professional, caring
Very clean and organised hospital. I am also a fan of architecture, so it's a joy each time I visit.
I had my operation at the Lister as soon as they were allowing elective operations during the Covid pandemic. The hospital exercised extreme care regarding the pandemic and I felt completely safe with the procedures that were in place. The care I received pre and post operation was excellent and the treatment I received from all staff during my short stay was second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend the Lister.
Clean and efficient
Much nicer than the NHS!
Very pleasant with great care
The nurses that took care of me after my surgery were friendly, attentive and knew what they were doing at all times. This reassured me and made me feel safe. The daily routine at The Lister seemed well organised. It is a very clean hospital.
Very good experience, friendly and helpful staff
Efficient and amicable.
Excellent hospital with friendly welcoming staff.
Clean efficient hospital
My experience of the Lister Hospital is good, based on surgery and a one night stay over. The Staff were friendly/ attentive and I would recommend the hospital to others.
The nursing and post-op physiotherapy team at the Lister are fantastic. They were very caring, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. And the food was great too!
Everyone made me feel very comfortable
All very good
Care at the Lister Hospital was very good.
I was extremely well looked-after.
Great patient experience, they are minimising the risk of COVID really well.
Received good care and treatment at the lister hospital - had surgery alone and husband was not allowed to be with me pre or post surgery however i never once felt alone or left out as the whole team were very nice. I was given great care by all the staff members on the day. They can do better in terms of proactively keeping next of kin informed during and after surgery though and the discharge process could have been quicker and smoother.
The lister was a great hospital, the staff were brilliant. Only negative was shower didn’t work properly.
Everything about The Lister Hospital was first-rate from the nurses and physios, to the surgeon and anaesthetist, to the room and catering.
Great. Not great that the computer has deemed my comment not long enough and asked me to give a longer comment.
Very good, thank you
It was all fine.
All staff members were helpful and did whatever they could to make me comfortable. There was a mix-up on 2 occasions. Once I was sent to wait on the wrong floor, and on the day of surgery I was told the physio team had no record of any appointment with me. But all staff I had contact with did their best to sort things out and answer all my questions.
awesome staff and great facilities
The staff at the Lister Hospital were very friendly and put me at ease. I feel lucky to live within walking distance of the Lister Hospital.
Very well attended to for my 2 night stay. Nursing. Porters. Household all did brilliantly no complaints
Excellent. Only issue is that the A/C in my room didn’t work. I came out of my operation and the room was like a furnace. My daughter had to call to get it resolved. Engineers were called. I was told I was to isolate for 14 days after my operation. Yet a mere 2 hours after a major operation, my room had 2 engineers in it. They had masks on - but one of them had his mask pulled down. They were also in and out of my bathroom. This was not acceptable. I should have been moved while they were working and the room sanitised.
A very comfortable and caring environment
All the staff I saw were very friendly, professional and hardworking however the hospital was understaffed .I had felt sick after the anaesthetic and it took a long time for someone to come to my aid.The room was clean and comfortable but the arrangement for breakfast on the day following the operation was inadequate ,arriving far too late .
