The Schoen clinic was efficient, very clean, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make me feel at ease as I was very nervous, I had excellent care.

Read moreLovely staff, without exception. I’d like to mention particularly my ‘personal’ nurse Cindy who could not have been more warm and delightful. Also a comfortable beautifully clean, pleasant room and lots of tea. My reservation is that I had a distressing adverse response to the anaesthetic, feeling appallingly cold to the point of great pain, especially in my legs and feet. And though my teeth were chattering like castanets and I was shivering violently, it took a very long time, ie 30-40 minutes, to get get warmed up again. I can quite believe (as I was told) it was a 1 in 100 event, and harmless. But given the cost of the room I think help should have been more readily available. My sister who was present, and had once had had a similar reaction, had been immediately wrapped in warm blankets - not electric blankets, pre-warmed blankets. The kind nurses and assistants tried hard to help me but there didn’t seem to be any kind of system.
