My experiences at the RNOH are usually good. When I was younger and went to the old Coxen and Adolescent ward, I found there were many ways of entertaining myself that I could find whilst I was having an infusion. The new wards feel emptier and lonelier, but nowadays I do not spend too long in the wards either, as the process for receiving an infusion is very swift and effective. There were a few times where I felt that the way a cannula was installed or blood samples were taken was not the right, best and/or most comfortable way to do it (having gone through the procedure several times I like to think I've figured it out). On the other hand, I get to meet the kind and welcoming ward nurses that I got to know from previous visits, and my family and I talk with them about many different things.
