Very happy with the whole experience. Waiting time on all my visits was short and the surroundings were very comfortable. The surgery was very quick and painless. The information provided for my after care was very good. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The surgery was very successful and it’s really amazing to be able to see everything so clearly without having to wear glasses anymore. Best decision I’ve ever made. So happy.

I have waited to review until after the post-surgery consultation, approximately six weeks after the procedures to give a more overall perspective. I was considering ditching contact lens, having worn them for over 40 years. Optegra was recommended by my optician. I read the information on their very useful website The initial appointment was to ascertain my vision, what options were available, the benefits and risks of each procedure and after discussion and further email exchanges I decided on refractive lens surgery in both eyes with Mr Sid Goel. From then, the process was speedy, a pre-operation assessment, including meeting the surgeon, again an explanation of the benefits and risks, surgery appointments arranged a week apart. The actual procedures were extremely efficient, shorter than I had expected. Understandibly I felt apprehensive before the first one, the second one not at all as I knew exactly what would happen. Post procedure I followed the eye drops regime to the letter and had no issues. An follow-up vision test two weeks later, then at six weeks a further one and a review with the surgeon. My experience has been entirely positive, from my initial contact through the assessments, the procedures and the follow-ups. I recognise that there is a 'whole team' ethos at Optegra, Didsbury and thank them all for the service I have so far received. I would highly recommend Optegra and the Didsbury team.

I found the process of evaluating my eye condition and proposals for treatment was very efficiently handled throughout. I was especially pleased to meet and discuss the options with the surgeon right from the start. There was minimal waiting about both at the initial consultation and during the procedure itself. I thought the detailed information about the whole process provided to me after the consultation was well written and comprehensive. The staff were friendly kind and professional throughout

My experience overall was good but car parking is an issue. My daughter had to drop me off then go home and I had to phone her to pick me up. We were threatened with a £80.00 fine if we parked anywhere else in the car park where there were spaces but shared with other businesses. As it happened there were no other car parking in a designated area. This was at the Didsbury Hospital.

I selected Optegra as a private patient requiring cataract surgery for both eyes. The professional and expert customer service offered by the support team was only topped by Dr Nguyen’s phenomenal bed side manner and expertise. From the pre op care through to post op sign off I felt I was receiving the best possible care. As a patient who was probably a good 30 years younger than the average patient I believe each and every person was treated with individual personalised care and attention, from entertaining my two mites with my husband to ensuring I got an emergency appointment the day I needed reassurance. I recommend whole heartedly their care for anyone who needs any kind of eye operation or intervention. I can also reassure anyone awaiting a cataract operation that I felt absolutely no pain through the op. Thanks Dr Nguyen and team.

Had to give the same information eg prescriptions, several times. There was no indication that anyone ever referred to previous notes or indeed the clinic had any! Also medication prescribed for my eyes said clearly on the packet ‘not to be used on eyes’. Neither instances very professional!
