The visit went well - after a delayed start which was caused by external circumstances. It helped me understand better the use of the Balance Belt and also allowed discussion of the findings of the neurologist :- The neurologists findings were (an extract) : "despite not experiencing any vertigo or dizziness, his other symptoms [ lack of position and vibration sense , and all reflexes are absent from upper and lower limbs + impaired temperature sensation in glove and stocking distribution]. This all points to sensory neuropathy, the cause for which remains uncertain. Mr Fergusson was concerned whether these balance issues are secondary to any central issue ... and wanted a MRI brain scan. I have informed him that is is highly unlikely ((his letter said likely but I think he meant unlikely)) that there is anything brewing intracranially and that we may see some incidental changes such as cerebral white matter disease. Mr Fergusson opted to see his GP ((actually the neurologist recommended that)) to arrange blood tests = full blood count, ESR, B12, folic acid, thyroid function, HbA1c and serum protein electrophoresis. The consultant also recommended that I was referred to the NHS for nerve conduction tests. In summary, the neurologist says that he doesn't think there are any telltale signs that these balance issues are originating from my brain .. but its rather an issue with sensory neuropathy.

Overall great visit Wasn’t easy to find as the address didn’t mention the ghosh clinic but after a phone call was all Sorted.
