1 Noisy staff shouting along Ward corridor throughout half day stay. Staff communicated in this manner rather than finding the person they needed to speak to. It would be virtually impossible to rest with this level of noise. In the room next to the nurses station it was possible to hear their discussions. Some of these discussions/instructions should have been confidential. The noise level should be addressed. 2 The room was not heated until I was taken in to it, so it was cool to start with.
Thank you for your comments, which we take very seriously. This has been reviewed by our Clinical Director and forwarded to the wards for action to be taken to ensure there is not a repeat of the situation. We do understand that rest for our patients is important as is confidentiality and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have also noted your comments on room temperatures and this will also be reviewed. Kind Regards Jo Colman-Bown

I found the adminstration side of St. Edmunds Hospital very lacking. Right from the start when requesting further information on standard letters received I could never get through to someone who could answer my questions. I also required information for my health insurance company to approve cover for my appointments and operations and no-one could help with telling me how to get this information. The number of times I was told they would enquire and phone back and they never did. In the end I happened to have had email contact with Mr. Hussain in response to some information he requested from me so in desperation I had to email him to ask for help in getting this information. This was immediately sent to me. I registered as a private patient right from the start but did not feel I was being treated like one.
Dear Sir We are sorry that you experienced difficulties with the admin side of your journey here at the St Edmunds Hospital. Unfortunately I have no name to do an investigation into what has happened but if you do wish to contact me please do and I will look into the matter for you. We take great pride in what we do so I am very dissappointed that we have let you down on this occasion. Kind regards Jo jo.colman-bown@circlehealthgroup.co.uk

Clean with supportive staff. Site decor/facilities could do with modernization.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at St Edmunds Hospital and thank you for the feedback which is very important to the team here. We are working through a modernisation programme, which started in the most critical areas of the hospital, the theatres, and which has then moved to the accommodations which are ongoing; both of which we felt were necessary for our patients treatment and recovery. We are then following up with other areas of the hospital. We are glad you found our staff to be so supportive during your experience here at St Edmunds Hospital. Our team strives to deliver an excellent experience, and are glad you found this to be the case during your visit. Our core principles are that patients come first and that good enough, never is and we are proud that these principles are upheld by staff and noticed by our patients. Kind regards Jo Colman-Bown

I couldn't get out at 18.50 after my operation - the front desk was unoccupied and the doors locked. The place had the feel of a private hospital on the edge of viability and I assume there is no RMO and I certainly would not want anything major done there. I speak as somebody who did 20 years of private general surgery in a real private hospital.
Hi, thank you for your review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at St Edmunds Hospital! May I assure you that we do have an RMO onsite whenever patients are onsite and in the evenings we hold the security of staff and patients as a top priority, with staff on duty available to assist with your departure. Kind regards Jo Colman-Bown
