Rapid, reassuring and seemless. From start to end, booking for a mole check was really quick and easy. My appointment was made within days of referral, my Consultant was very understanding and completely put my mind at rest and the team at Bucks Private Healthcare couldn't have been more helpful.

Medically my experience was good.... however organisationally wycombe hospital was disappointing - poor signs, different department names and only one working lift made actually finding the right ward a bit of a nightmare - I have written to Jo Carswell about my experience
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and for also reaching our to our Private Patient team with regards to your experience at Wycombe Hospital. We are very happy to hear that your experience with our clinical teams was a positive one however, we understand that there are aspects of your experience with us that we need to address. As a result of your comments, we have updated our patient correspondence to help with way finding on site. It is unfortunate that there was maintenance work being carried out leaving only one working lift that day and apologies for the inconvenience caused. For accountability, your comments have been recorded by our Governance team and we will also liaise with our colleagues at Wycombe Hospital as we strive to improve the experience for our patients. Best wishes, Buckinghamshire Private Healthcare

I had a partial right knee replacement in early October 2023 at Chiltern Hospitaland in December the bearing detached.I saw my consultant Mr Bhupinder Mann prior to Christmas and revision surgery was required. The Chiltern hospital was having their operating theatres refurbished in January 2024 so I had to be accommodated elsewhere. I was given a choice which boiled down to Wycombe. It got rather confused then as I presumed it was The Shelbourne and despite Circle Group owning it that because it was on the Wycombe Hospital footprint that Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust was overseeing the management. I even entered via the main doors next to the Shelbourne. My health insurer were happy to approve the procedure, the consultant and the anaesthetist and believed it was the Shelbourne. It was a shock when I found out my mistake and my health insurer declined the high hospital costs. It was finally sorted out last weekend when they finally paid in full to the trust. As for my stay I was perfectly happy. The food was good, the room was occupied by two other men beside myself and the staff were friendly, professional polite and could not be faulted. I remained until the Monday ( having had the surgery on the Saturday) and whilst I initially was given support and guidance by the physiotherapists I was re,indeed by a physio that I needed to make an appointment for more physio before I left the hospital, as I was leaving I reminded the physiotherapist that I needed the appointment time. I am also an NHS consumer. He stated that as I was a private patient that NHS physio appointments could not be given to private patients. I would have to arrange my own. I presume he was correct but what would have been the case if I had “reverted” to NHS for physio and requested an appointment on the NHS? This is in no way meant as a complaint or criticism of anyone merely curiosity. So I can say that I got the feeling that there was a degree of uncertainty ( thinking back on it) by the staff and it well be as I thought I was under a different system that the uncertainty was caused by myself not quite understanding of the private public in relation to Wycombe Hospital. The operation appears to be a success, the care could not be faulted and I would be quite happy ( fingers crossed that I don’t have to be) to be treated there again if needed.
