Every question was answered, every worry was taken seriously, and I always felt supported rather than judged. The kindness, professionalism, and encouragement shown to me before and after surgery helped me feel confident in my decision and safe throughout the process. The fear of not being present for my family someday scared me far more than surgery ever could. Thank you for the exceptional care, guidance, and support you have all shown me. You haven’t just helped me through a procedure—you’ve helped give me a real chance at a new beginning, and for that I will always be grateful.

From the initial consultation through to post-operative followup, the care I received throughout my multifocal cataract surgery was consistently professional and well organised. Prior to surgery, the assessment process, treatment options, and expected outcomes were explained clearly and in detail. In particular, the differences between single-vision and multifocal replacement lenses were discussed thoroughly, including the potential benefits, limitations, and suitability for my individual needs. I was given sufficient time to consider these options and to ask questions, which supported an informed and confident decision. On the day of surgeries, the team was efficient, professional, and considerate. The procedures themselves were straightforward and managed smoothly, and I felt appropriately supported throughout. Post-surgical care was structured and attentive. Follow-up appointments were conducted carefully, with clear guidance provided regarding recovery, taking prescribed medication, visual adaptation, and next steps. Any queries were dealt with promptly, and my progress was monitored appropriately. Overall, the combination of clinical expertise, clear communication, particularly around lens choice and considerate care resulted in a positive experience and a very satisfactory visual outcome. Overall the experience was great. Justyna was simply amazing, super positive, supportive and caring. I felt very looked after. Where things could be improved - better communication in terms of the order of surgery. My expectations was for a 2:30 surgery, but instead I had to wait for an elongated period without anyone communicating with me or my wife. I don’t think anyone offered my wife a cup of tea or other which would have been nice. Post surgery in the recovery room, the ladies began to inclune the bed before I was ready and to the point where I experienced a lot of pain at the surgery point. I found this very distressing and was not needed. A more progressive approach to inclining the bed would have been much better and I could have let them know I was at my comfortable limit, as opposed to being pushed passed it and into pain. I believe as a result of this pain, they gave me a heavy dose of morphine which kept me groggy for a long period into the evening. I would question if this was needed if they hadn’t pushed me past my comfortable limits.

I recently had bilateral cataract surgery. From start to finish the treatment I received was excellent. The patient liaison manager was really helpful, friendly, incredibly supportive and a welcome calming influence. I was amazed by the state of the art optical equipment that was available to ensure that my lenses were perfectly suited to the dimensions of my eyes and my prescription, as well as the care that the technicians took while taking the measurements. The optometrists I saw were caring and informative, ensuring that I knew about the different types of intra ocular lenses available and what I may expect from them. They carried out my eye tests with care and patience. The eye surgeon was incredibly experienced and very skilled, and carried out the procedure very efficiently with great care. Now, six weeks post-surgery, I am very grateful of the care I received and the quality and clarity of my lenses; both aspects easily surpassed all my expectations. I would highly recommend Freedom Vision, Chelmsford to anyone considering cataract surgery.

I fell down a couple of stairs and after almost a year of pain, repeat sprains and a long wait list with NHS for further investigation I booked an appointment with Andrew and I was so glad that I did. He listened to my symptoms and booked an MRI the following day. The results confirmed Andrews initial thoughts from review a complete ligament tear on the outer ankle and partial tear on the inner ankle. It was a relief to finally understand what was causing such extreme pain in normal every day activities and I was booked in for ankle reconstruction surgery within a few weeks. I am now almost 6 months on and Andrew has given me my life back. To wake pain free and be able to walk without pain and swelling as well as now being able get back into exercise has been just fantastic. The whole process was explained with professionalism and care and I cannot thank Andrew and the physio enough. Highly recommend anyone who is struggling with pain to book an appointment with Andrew.

I had penis filler and it was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. I had the filler on the Monday and by Wednesday I was in a&e with a very balloon swollen penis and had to have catheter inserted in my penis for 5 days. I was then rushed for emergency surgery the next morning to remove the filler and infection at the injection site. I was in hospital and 5 days and I’m now under a nhs urologist because the urologist at Moorgate cancelled the video call because he said it was unwell. Once they have your money your on your own and the chances of compilations are a lot higher than what they claim. The office I had my filler was not sterilised and moor like someone’s living room. Once if fully recovered I find out if it’s caused and permanent damage I will be looking to start a medical neglect claim against Moorgate. PLEASE if your thinking about having this done seriously I would re consider. Just use an extender/pump.

I had a hip replacement at The Circle Hospital on 2nd August 2025, performed by Mr Bilal Al‑Obaidi. Mr Al-Obaidi is a true gentleman - kind, empathetic, and incredibly reassuring. Before the operation, he took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and ensured I felt fully informed and completely at ease. Throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for at every stage. The surgery itself went extremely well, and my recovery has been excellent. Mr Al-Obaidi is clearly held in very high regard by staff across all departments, which speaks volumes about him as both a surgeon and a person. I feel very fortunate to have had him as my consultant and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering a hip replacement.

My most recent visit was for an MRI scan which occurred in in the mobile unit. My oncologist requested a full spinal scan as well as a head and neck scan. The radiographer told me that this wasn’t possible then proceeded to ask me to choose one or the other. I wasn’t qualified to make this decision as both were equally important. There was insufficient information given as to the reason for not being able to have the scans I was booked in for, which really wasn’t good enough. Having waited quite a few weeks for this appointment I am annoyed that I will have to return next week to have the spinal scan. I expect better.

Nick from Physio Jack Studios was really great. I had what I thought was a typical calf strain but all the standard treatments from another physio did not heal it. 4 weeks out from a marathon, I was unable to run 1km without pain. Nick went through a very thorough diagnostic appointment, corrected my diagnosis to an overloading issue at a specific calf/achilles muscle complex and guided me through multiple plyometric exercises and a progressive running plan to allow me to finish the marathon in 3hrs 40mins. Could not recommend him highly enough, super knowledgeable, detailed and passionate 👍

1)I found the signage to the main lifts and to Lyndhurst rooms confusing. There should be signage in the ground floor lift lobby saying which departments are on which floor. I have been complaining about this since 1971. 2)The excellent group portrait of the Royal Free consultants in about 1970 which used to be on the ground floor but has now been removed to the 12th Floor no longer has the key saying who they are. This is a digrace and an insult to the memory of a fine group of men (and about ten women), The key should be found and reinstated immediately.

I have had two consultations with Mr Stone so far which have been excellent. Mr Stone is thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He is very caring, patient and an extremely good communicator. I have also been impressed by his comprehensive follow up letters. It is extremely helpful to have the full picture in black and white so one is not relying on memory of all of those medical terms! I am hoping the steroid injections I have received will work wonders but if I do need an operation I have every confidence that Mr Stone will look after me extremely well.
