The Portland Hospital truly felt like a five-star hotel combined with exceptional medical care. From the moment we arrived, everything was calm, organised, and incredibly well run, making what can be an overwhelming experience feel reassuring and even enjoyable. The facilities are outstanding, the rooms are beautiful, and the level of comfort is unmatched — but what really makes The Portland special is the people. The care we received from the midwifery team was absolutely exceptional. In particular, midwives/nurses Lucy and Anna were truly wonderful. They were kind, attentive, reassuring, and incredibly supportive, always taking the time to check in, explain everything, and make us feel completely cared for. Their warmth and professionalism made such a difference to our experience and helped us feel confident and supported every step of the way. The aftercare was equally impressive, with genuine attention to both mother and baby. Every member of staff went above and beyond, and nothing ever felt rushed. We are so grateful for the outstanding care we received and would highly recommend The Portland Hospital to anyone looking for exceptional maternity care in a calm, luxurious, and supportive environment.

Whilst going through the trauma of a small kidney stone lodged in my ureter, and with a stent in place from the NHS, my first consultation with Professor Turney was incredibly reassuring. He explained clearly what the next steps on the road to recovery would look like and following our discussion, immediately arranging an appointment for an ureteroscopy . Although the final operation date depended on the consultant’s workload—and therefore was not as soon as I initially hoped—the process felt well managed and transparent throughout. The information and guidance Professor Turney provided before, during, and after the procedure were exceptional, as was the support of his wider team. The operation itself, along with the subsequent stent removal, went smoothly and was a complete success. After nearly eight weeks of discomfort and pain, the care and expertise of Professor Turney were instrumental in restoring my well‑being, leaving me genuinely grateful for such a positive outcome.

Every consultation felt calm and unhurried, with clear explanations and a compassionate, relaxed manner that built real confidence. His positivity and encouragement made the situation feel winnable and well managed throughout. The efficiency and coordination of his team were outstanding, and the respect they clearly have for him was evident. On my order I specifically asked for CAPSULES of paracetamol not Tablets. The turn around was quick but I realized when receiving 3 boxes of tablets no care had been taken to check the medecine. When I asked for a return label they asked for photos and description of the packaging of which I cant do . I'm over 90 and not familiar with taking photos and being a simple mistake in product I didn't understand. I will never use these people again and wil never recommend them. My order #

I am very happy with the results and I have not had any problems whatsoever. My very short stay at Nuffield Hospital was very pleasant and I was very well cared for, even after surgery with routine check ups. I will certainly be recommending Mr Apostolou to friends who I know are considering the same surgery.

I had a check up.....my teeth are not doing very well and I'm holding on to them and looking after them as best I can....my dentist compared my latest x-ray with one taken 2 years ago and explains what's going on and what I can do to keep them as long as I can ... it's good she takes the time to explain without making me feel awkward.... And I always say to never underestimate a kind word and a nice smile....:)

I was recommended St Giles physiotherapy to take our Son to as he was complaining of knee pain. Claudiu diagnosed what was wrong and gave our son various exercises to do to help with the pain. Our son also had laser treatment and massages which really helped. The exercise programme we continued with at home too using a friendly app to track progress. I highly recommend St Giles physiotherapy and Claudiu.
