I cannot recommend Miss Shalini Chawla highly enough. After a long awaited pregnancy following five years of IVF, this journey meant everything to us. At my 28 weeks scan we were told we were expecting a large baby, and given that I am 45 and this was my first pregnancy, we knew we wanted one dedicated consultant to coordinate and oversee our care. For that reason, we decided to go private. After meeting several obstetricians, it was immediately clear that Miss Chawla was the right choice. From our very first appointment, she was personable, empathetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and instantly put a set ease. No question was over too small or silly, and she made herself available to us 24/7, which was invaluable during section anxious time. Miss Chawla got to work straight away. During her initial assessment, she identified the possible early stages of preeclampsia, arranged all the appropriate blood tests and scans promptly, and began planning ahead, including scheduling a potential delivery date. Her organization and forward planning meant that we never had to worry - everything was taken care of. Her communication skills are truly second to none. She kept us updated daily, even while she was on holiday, often checking in by text to reassure us and explain us the next steps. When my water is broke unexpectedly at 33 weeks, all plans changed. Despite the situation being frightening and stressful, Miss Shalini Chawla was immediately on hand, overseeing every aspect of my care and leading the team through an emergency cesarean section. Throughout it all, I had complete confidence that she would deliver our baby safely and she did. Her care did not stop after delivery. Her after care has been exceptional, checking in daily and continuing to do so even three weeks later. That level of dedication, compassion, and commitment is rare. Miss Chawla is an outstanding obstetrician, and I will be forever grateful for the care she provided. I would wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend her to anyone seeking exceptional maternity care.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Jonathan Collier for the exceptional care and expertise he provided during my treatment for severe maxillofacial trauma involving two broken jaws, following a serious accident. From the very beginning, Mr. Collier gave me clear, honest, and professional advice about the best possible treatment options, which gave me great confidence and reassurance. The level of care I received before, during, and after the surgery was outstanding. The surgery itself was performed with great skill, and the post-operative care was excellent. I was contacted daily by Mr. Collier’s team to check on my recovery, offer guidance, and make sure I was doing well. Their constant support meant a great deal to me. After the surgery, all the necessary medications, painkillers, and mouth-care products were thoughtfully prepared and given to me in one bag. This was extremely helpful, as I was not in a condition to go out and buy supplies myself. It allowed me to go straight home and focus entirely on my recovery. Overall, I felt genuinely cared for and supported throughout the entire process. My experience at the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH was exceptional from start to finish. The room's were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and calm - exactly what you hope for during such an important emotional time. The food was genuinely excellent, with a great variety of choices, which made a real difference during recovery and long days on the ward. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely amazing. From the midwives and healthcare assistance to the catering team, every single person was kind, caring and professional. The midwives were extremely knowledgeable and always on hand to support and reassure, no matter the time of day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. What truly stood out was the continuity of care even after discharge. The midwives remained available to support me with breastfeeding and post cesarean aftercare, which was invaluable and made me feel supported well beyond my stay. I cannot fault the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH. The standard of care, compassion, and attention to detail where outstanding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering private maternity to care.

I was fortunate enough to be referred to Mr Hassan by another consultant gynaecologist, after a specialist MRI scan revealed significant Stage 4 deep-infiltrating endometriosis and possible adenomyosis. From the start, he was kind, patient, professional, reassuring and very knowledgeable. He listened to my concerns, made his recommendations and I had my operation just 10 days after the initial consult!! The surgery was very complex, but successful and I have made a good recovery so far. Thank you so much for giving me a new lease of life. If I ever require further surgery, I would not hesitate to come back. After being referred to Mr Goel by my optician I was pleased to hear that he could offer me the corrective surgery to hopefully enable me to have less dependence on glasses. Mr Goel spent a lot of time and effort discussing the pros and cons of the procedure which enabled me to make a fully informed decision regarding the procedures. I was a little concerned because my appointment was delayed due to a problem with the machine but everyone was so kind and comforting. My appointment could have been rearranged for another date but everything was done to ensure my operation went ahead that day. This I very much appreciated because I was really worried about having the procedure. I was very nervous but Dr Ho explained what he was doing and what to expect every step of the way and this helped me to relax. I felt everything before, during and after the operation was explained clearly and fully. I really appreciated being able to get a quick appointment and having my scan done by a doctor radiologist who could then explain what he saw and give me some advice. The scan was done quickly and it allowed me to promptly get the scan done for my GP. I was super pleased that the report arrived quickly, it was there in my emails before I even got home! There was a chaperone there too, the clinic was nice and the receptionist was very warm and friendly and efficient. All in all a great discovery for me as I felt the prices were very reasonable for private scans so I could use the service for regular health checks..

I’m now 3 months post arthroscopic debridment and microfracture and I am pain free with full movement and have started running and training again.
