My first appointment with Dr James Thing went very well though I had to phone the clinic to say that I would be late for my appointment since the taxi broke down on the way. I arrived at the clinic with my husband 15 minutes late, but I was seen by Dr Thing without further delay. He told us that there was a patient who was on hour late on that day perhaps due to the cold weather. Dr Thing checked my medical details, my knee conditions in both legs, examined my knees carefully before looking them closely on the screen. I had bilateral Ostenil Plus Knee injections while the doctor was guided by Ultrasound Scan to insert the needles into the exact area of my knees. I had a little sensation when the needles were inserted but it was done in a gentle manner that I was feeling alright throughout the time of insertion. The whole procedure went smoothly and the doctor said he would see me in a year's time. In the meantime I was to take it easy and rest well for my knees to heal and he would write me an email in three weeks' time to see how I was doing.

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

It was a completely painless affair that was over in maybe five minutes. Main reception lovely and consultant was great. Imaging receptionist was blunt and frankly dismissive. Now paying invoice for consultation the original price was quoted on phone I found it’s £20 more which isn’t much but when you are self funding every £20 counts! When I complained I was directed to the fees as outlined on my original appointment letter which state it would not exceed £150 which it obviously doesn't but it wasn’t explained that the figure quoted on phone was only an estimate. Pricing should be communicated more clearly for those who don’t have insurance. So far, apart from consultant, a disappointment.

Mr Motkur treated me with absolute respect, care, and kindness every time I had to see him. He fully explained my condition and what was necessary to help me and the procedure he was going to undertake. Prior to my operation he spent time with me explaining what he was about to do and why it was necessary. I was left feeling confident, relaxed, and reassured that I was in safe hands. I went to see Mr Alanie needing a Total Knee Replacement. From the initial Out Patient appointment, through pre, peri, and post op, to the discharge out patient appointment, Mr Alanie was professional, polite, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, able to answer questions at an appropriate, understandable level, and always with a smile that puts you at ease. He shows in his approach that he enjoys looking after his patients and helping them. If ever I need a specialist knee surgeon in the future, I would definitely ask to see him again.

I had a breast reduction and uplift with Parkash Lohana in December 2025 and I am delighted with the results. All the staff here are so kind and friendly. Special shout out to Roslyn for how well she looked after me (and my very anxious mum!) on the day, Bernadette, Lisa, but everyone has been amazing. I'm still healing and had to come in for a same day appointment to have something checked and Belinda totally put me at ease and gave me really clear information. Honestly couldn't fault a single element of my experience!

On my recent visit to Prive Clinics, I had a really lovely experience. The receptionist was so welcoming and offered tea or coffee as usual, which was a nice touch. The dental nurse was friendly and smiley, making me feel comfortable straight away. The practice is very clean and well looked after. Overall, it was a great visit and a very pleasant experience.
