I am currently undergoing treatment at Bourn Hall. At every single step the members of staff have exhibited amazing customer service. Every single nurse, receptionist, doctor, anaesthetist, embryologist, pharmacist and everyone there has been respectful, kind, gentle, reassuring, calm and knowledgeable. In particular, Nurse Dawn at Cambridge has gone above and beyond to support me as an autistic patient. She has patiently answered all my questions, made adjustments for my comfort, and reassured me over and over again. She even popped my teddy from my bag onto my bed for me when I was recovering from general anaesthetic which was so touching and thoughtful. I am also particularly thankful to the embryologist team who also have found ways to adhere to my special requests. I'm also thankful to the anaesthetist who held my hand as I fell asleep under general anaesthetic because I was so frightened. I cannot fault our experience at Bourn Hall.

Dec 15 2025 , 6 months after ankle fusion . I was dreading the operation it’s about 2 hours long I didn’t feel a thing I opted for a epidural the operation went well , the recovery isn’t easy boot for 3 months and then gradual weight bare , yes at the beginning it’s sore my fault I don’t do pain killers , I opted for a knee scooter to get around (brilliant) after about 14 weeks I could walk around carefully I did everything by the book and now 6 months on my pain is gone ,I mcan walk about 2miles easily per day . Before the operation I didn’t want to do anything I just wanted to get where ever and sit down as I was in such discomfort for me it was the best decision I have ever made . I search many places online in merseyside to get my cataracts remove as referral by Boots Opticitions but I chose to pick myself St Paul’s Laser vision I went private for two reasons first I have regular and irregular astigmatism also done sooner so I need some one who is highly skilled and perform many different surgeries. Dr Sridhar is an amazing, exceptional doctor. He’s very kind and caring to my son. He takes his time to explain things to us, especially to my wife who struggled with English. We don’t feel rushed in appointments and have always put us at ease, especially with all the medication my son has had to take and the surgeries he’s had as a child. His expertise and kindness has made all the difficult times easy for us. During Covid he always made time for us by telephone, when everything was on lock down, which was amazing as our son was immune suppressed and we were worried for him. Dr Sridhar is an outstanding doctor and We are truly grateful, he’s our doctor.

Mr Saihan carried out a Cataract operation with Laser treatment on one eye and laser treated my other eye in 2022, this operation was very successful but due to a degenerative condition I contacted him this month to discuss what if anything could be done to improve my sight. He remembered me and my case and was extremely helpful and gave me excellent advice. I have the greatest regard for his skills and have always found him to very helpful, professional and friendly. It’s a pleasure to have been treated by him and his help and advice have been invaluable.

A follow up call via zoom gave me that extra confidence regarding surgery. The team on the OCD ward incredibly kind caring and compassionate. It's like being part of a family, including the other 5 patients here. Although, it was challenging at times, I've learnt so much about my condition and I now realise that my beliefs does not necessarily mean it's true. If you're suffering with OCD and feel like you're alone or you have nowhere else to turn to, I highly recommend the Nightingale's 28 day inpatient stay.

Dr Karamanakos was very reassuring, explained everything very clearly and has a great way of making you feel at ease. The surgery went as predicted, minimal discomfort and after about a week I did not need any painkillers at all. The surgery site healed very quickly, without any problems at all. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Karamanakos and I’m very glad I chose home for my hernia surgery.

First time at Reflex 18 and had had good reports from Colchester Harriers. Was seen by Josh Harvey who went through my running history and then took a look at two niggles (ankle and knee). It was great to go through some of the rehab exercises with Josh to make sure I was confident to do these at home. All in all an great experience and Id have no hesitation in recommending Reflex 18 to others.

Nurses were all keen to offer care, and talk, which I appreciated, it's easy to get in your own head, and I appreciated the distraction! One thing I would comment on is that there is always a long wait. I was asked to arrive at 8:30am, but I didn't actually have my procedure until 10:30, which gave lots of time to think. A more streamlined appointment process would be helpful

I have had a few spinal issues so spent a fair amaount of time waiting for scans etc Not at the Fortius Clinics , the medical care is amazing and quick for scans and then reviews. Frinedly staff always and a very calm atmosphere everywhere. Which when you are in pain is a massive breath of fresh air.
