Dear Dr Stavros, I just wanted to write you a quick note to express our huge gratitude for the support you have given our son, and us. Not only is he thriving, but you have also helped us see what we once viewed as weakness as a source of great strength. You have helped us accept him exactly as he is, and instead of wishing to change him, we now want to focus on his many strengths and find ways to support him. Your gentle and supportive approach was truly transformative during a time when we felt completely at a loss and frightened for him. The two sessions you had with him will always remind him that whenever he needs support, there are special people out there who can guide him. That is life changing. He will know that instead of suffering alone, he can trust us to support him and to seek help when he needs it. You also supported us tremendously when we were struggling . Dr Amro Hassaan was the only doctor who took the trouble to explain what my problem was. I’d been suffering for years with severe headaches which had got to the point they would last for weeks and the pain was unbearable. Dr Hassaan took the time to fully explain all options available to me and completely put my mind at rest. Whenever I visited him I was always warmly greeted and was put at ease. Eventually for me it was decided surgery was the only solution and prior to the surgery date Dr Hassaan took the time to answer all my questions and even called me back once while he was on holiday! The surgery was a success and the aftercare was brilliant, I really felt I was in safe hands. Also want to mention Dr Hassaan’s secretary, Kerry she was wonderful too, she always came back straight away with answers to my questions. He is a true dedicated professional, a gentleman and just the best doctor I have known.

I arranged to see Mr Hall after my daughter was showing signs of tongue tie. I had her assessed by the IOW midwife specialist at 4 weeks and they informed me my daughter had no tie. After 7 more weeks of matters getting worse I was referred to Southampton by NHS but when I found out the waiting time I booked myself in to see Mr Hall who could see me within 3days of my initial contact! A tongue tie was located and procedure performed there and then. With minimal distress with my daughter and I. There was immediate feeding benefits and physically seeing my daughter move and use her tongue better. Hopefully this is a road back to breastfeeding full time without the need to keep pumping. I wish I had followed my instincts and made enquires to book sooner. All health visitors should have his details to pass on!

Nurse caused me to bruise during a painful blood test. I always have trouble with veins appearing during tests and told the nurse which one tends to work the best; nurse insisted on going for a different one, causing pain and bruising. Nurse also used clumsy and offensive language when talking about another patient: “A man came in the other day - he’s a ‘they’ - he…”. Given that your clinic markets your service extensively to trans and non-binary people, I find it surprising that your staff wouldn’t see a problem with openly and deliberately misgendering a customer. Please do better to avoid making customers like me feel alienated.

I found Mr Akula to be very pleasant and professional. When I first saw him I needed a mobility scooter to be able to go outside the house and even had trouble standing for more than a few minutes. His explanations were very clear and concise and he was quite happy for my wife to attend the consultations. The spinal decompression surgery on 2 Sept went well with no real discomfort afterwards. The procedure has transformed my life (and my wife's as well). I can walk 2-3 miles now and whilst it's not totally comfortable, it is not a real problem. Just wish I had seen Mr Akula a year earlier

I would advise any menopausal women who may need help to come to the Cora menopausal clinic. Emily was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked into her room and till when I left. The knowledge was out of this world. Emily reassured me and listened and understood. I took away so much from this one visit and am very thankful. My symptoms were getting to the stage where I was struggling to cope with everyday life. I’m a few weeks down the road and have been on HRT and feel so much better. Thank you Emily.
