Everyone was at all times friendly and quietly efficient. I was assessed via up to five impressive machines on the working day following my initial approach to the clinic. I had to approach the Clinic following the retirement of the consultant whom I had originally engaged, and who had agreed with my optician that I was ready for surgery. The initial examination at the Clinic was most impressive, and when Mr Chan met me shortly thereafter he was clearly able to make a quick assessment. He explained to me that the operation would be challenging, given the damaged condition of my eye, but he agreed with my decision to ask him to proceed. The pamphlets provided enabled me to have a good understanding of the nature of a cataract and the usual course of treatment before and after the operation. On the day of the procedure I approached without misgivings, and following a full discussion with a senior nurse who sought fuller details of my medical history, and then the application of anaesthetics by the anaesthetist, I proceeded to the operating theatre. It was good and very reassuring to be able to feel the area round my eye go numb in advance of entering the theatre. The operation was for me comfortable, and I enjoyed the soft verbal exchanges between Mr Chan and his staff, and the gentle and futuristic sounds of the surgical equipment. Afterwards, I have felt no discomfort from the after effects, and the post operation advice from another nurse has been very clear and helpful. And I am delighted with the outcome. After having been in effect virtually blind in my right eye, my vision is now clear, bright and colourful. Very much better that these current aspects of by “good” left eye! Well done everyone! Both of my clinicians were friendly and professional. In particular, Hannah Geary was excellent - reading my report from her, I felt she really listened and understood my situation and experiences. A few negative points: I arrived around 5-10 minutes early for my in-person appointment and no one from Skylight was listed on the outside of the clinic. I tried to speak to someone else on the buzzer list, but they couldn't help. I then rang the Skylight number and got an answer machine. Only then did my clinician arrive - he said he didn't know my appointment was at 9.30am as he never does appointments that early. This was an unnecessarily stressful experience, and when relaying this to Hannah Geary, she asked for my permission to escalate this. The wait time on communication was much longer than I would have expected. My report was also delayed because my early developmental questionnaire was somehow not linked to my profile. I received initial emails saying everything was complete in October, but then the eight-week timeline passed and I had to chase up. Had someone contacted me earlier to say there was a problem (which was easily rectified), I would not have had to wait an extra month to get my final report. I also haven't received confirmation that my request for extra sessions has been acknowledged and a rough timeline for these, so will follow up on email.

Shalini was absolutely incredible from the moment I met her, through the birth of our baby girl and all the after care she gave us. I chose to have an elective caesarian and the whole procedure was very calm and combined with the anaesthetist she chose, Sam, I could not have felt in safer and more expert hands. I have experienced many doctors over the years and Shalini truly stands out - she is not only a brilliant obstetrician but also takes a wonderfully holistic approach to the care of her patients - she made me feel so held as I knew she cared so much about me and our baby girl. I can’t describe what a difference it made to me and we will all be eternally grateful to her. I would say that shalini would be the perfect choice for anyone including those who have experienced anxiety and depression as she takes into account the whole person. We are planning to try for our second baby and are already looking forward to having Shalini with us on that journey again.

I had an excellent experience at the Lindo Wing. Everyone (midwives, baby doctors, anaesthesiologists) were exceptionally calm, supportive, and reassuring throughout my stay. Every step was clearly explained, and all questions were answered with patience and care. Even with the smallest concern about my baby’s health, a neonatologist was promptly invited to carry out a full assessment, which gave me great peace of mind. I was also supported with my baby’s breast attachment immediately in the delivery room, which was incredibly helpful. The rooms are very well equipped, and during delivery both my and my baby’s heart rates were continuously monitored and carefully assessed. After the birth, we received ongoing guidance on next steps, and both my baby’s and my own health were checked frequently and thoroughly.

I injured my back the week before Christmas — I could not even walk with the pain. I emailed Dr Swan over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday. I should’ve known from my previous experiences that he really cares about his patients and their outcomes so I was not surprised when he called me at home in the evening to discuss what I could do to immediately to relieve the spasm and a plan of next steps for investigations and treatment. I could not think of a safer pair of hands to be in when you are in severe pain and dealing with a spinal injury.

I think that the care provision that I have been provided with by Mr Swamy has been excellent at all pre-op, operation and post op stages. I am very grateful for the excellent level of detail and opportunity to discuss all matters relating to my spinal stenosis, the operation that Mr Swamy performed together with all matters relating to post op recovery period etc. Mr Swamy explained things very clearly to me such that I was ultimately very comfortable with my decision to progress with the operation to treat my spinal stenosis.

Appointment on 31/01/2026- 1. Poor mobile network at the reception area, irrespective of mobile network provider. 2. Staff at reception does not know who visitors can log to use wi-fi. In my case I need wifi to access BUPA app to provide treatment authorisation code. I had to walk outside in the rain to be able to get network. 3. Staff at reception gave the wrong consultation room. 4. Waited past appointment time and when back to query. Told appointment at a different consultation room. Always had issues at reception

The staff at the hospital were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. They understood the importance of admission for surgery to the patient and were very supportive. All of the clinical and medical staff were first class, but the support staff were also excellent. The room was clean and comfortable and I was well looked after. The menu options were very good and the food was delicious. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this excellent hospital.

He is very caring and has a brilliant bedside manner. He is very professional and thorough and listens to our concerns/questions too. Many thanks again to all the staff at Paediatric Diagnostics.
