Walking into Spire hospital at Manchester, I was greeted by really good reception staff who listened to what I said and then made it happen. It felt very well organised. Into the wards/clinics for treatment, I was again greeted by friendly, confident staff who quickly put me at ease and explained what was to be carried out. All of my tests/treatments were carried out very professionally, on time and with care and respect. I felt comletly at ease throughtout. 5 Stars in every respexct for the clinical staff and Spire Manchester. Bad Experiencies. Dealing with the Spire Online/ Phone back office and Booking System. It was diabolical in all aspects. It appeared to be very dis-jointed and not able to pass information on internally nor take notice of what I told them. I received meaningless paperwork that bore little resemblance to what was to be done and its timeline. The night before treatment, around 8 p.m., I even received an email that told me all my procedures/ tests were to be carried out in Liverpool, not Manchester. Very poor level communications from Spire admin. very bad experience for me.

Attended for a blood test. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with blood tests over the years. This is primarily because I have very small and narrow veins which disappear with the touch of a needle..☹️ I find the whole experience extremely painful and distressing … I explained all of this to Debbie, the wonderful and kind nurse who attended me. She was brilliant! Totally put me at ease and was incredibly supportive and gentle. I was definitely a challenge for her as my veins were completely uncooperative per usual. But she took her time and used the smallest needle possible to minimise any discomfort. She succeeded in the end and managed to get enough blood for a full blood count!! Miraculous! I am so very grateful to Debbie for turning a potentially very upsetting and negative experience into a positive outcome. She has helped me to regain a little more confidence in having my blood taken again. Thank you Debbie! 😊

He took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, and I was relieved to be told that everything was healthy. Dr Philipose is an outstanding doctor — knowledgeable, calm, reassuring, and incredibly thorough. From the moment you meet him, he makes you feel comfortable and confident that you are in the very best hands. He explains things in a way that is easy to understand and genuinely cares about his patients. He is without question the best doctor I have ever seen, and I would recommend him to absolutely anyone. I had a letter requesting me to attend an outpatients apointment for cardiology. I was unsure why and obviously I was very concerned and worried when attending the appointment. Dr Cassar was very professional and explained everything very clearly. I was not felt to feel foolish about asking questions and every question was answered in detail. I was given very good advice about nutrition and living a healthy life. I went in with trepidation but came out of the appointment extremely happy that everything had been clearly explained and my concerns had been treated with clarity in a friendly, professional manner. I was made to feel like a person that mattered.

I booked first appointment an ultrasound with Mrs. Maria, but unfortunately, two days before my appointment I had a miscarriage. I did not cancel the appointment because I wanted to understand what was happening. Mrs. Maria was extremely polite, understanding, and—most importantly—honest, which I believe is exactly what someone needs in such a difficult situation. She guided us on which tests I need to do and provided all the necessary information with care and professionalism.Thank you for everything. I hope that soon we will meet again under different circumstances and for happier check-ups.

The treatment I received at the Matrix Eye Clinic was excellent from both Mr Guy Smith and his first class team. The results from the cataract operation in both eyes is sensational. My eyesight is significantly improved, the length, the accuracy and the intensity of the colour are all enhanced. I am absolutely delighted. Before I had the operation I was considering exchanging our television for a new model because I was having difficulty in reading small print and the scene was blurred. Now I can enjoy watching. Amazing! I have no hesitation in recommending Matrix Eye Clinic.

Transfered to Clarytin after disappointing time with NHS awaiting time for appointment for cataract removal. Very pleased with Clarity who saw me very shortly after referral and operated on a week later. I was going to wait for the next operation on the NHS on the 4th February but when that was moved to sometime in April, I took the next available appt on January 20th for a private operation. Both private experiences have been a pleasure and very good.

Charlie Talbot is a fine and friendly consultant, known and loved by many in the medical profession and a patient like me . At the Duchy Hospital in Harrogate, partly private-partly NHS, I could not have had better care and advice from him and from his delightful and very competent friendly PA working and supporting patients and him in the backgrounnd. I would highly recommend Charlie and the whole caring set-up for any shoulder priblem.

I found the GP we visited to be welcoming and friendly, he was very informative and honest with things however I found the reception staff to be the opposite they were not very welcoming and I felt that they were closed of from any type of communication or request I did not like that they were so miserable no smiles just blank I didn't like the experience or the feeling I felt when walking into the practise but the doctor was great.

Staff and facilities were amazing. The only thing I felt could be improved was the food. Generally it felt like there was quantity over quality. I had overcooked fish. I selected a starter of prawn and avocado salad one day as I wasn’t overly hungry and was presented with a huge bowl of salad which was swimming in the dressing which wasn’t pleasant. As I say everything else was amazing I just expected the food to match the service.

I didn’t expect to have to see him again but following an incident last Sunday, I had a video call with him 2 days later. His secretary Selina has been very helpful. After failing to get an appointment with my GP, my Daughter made an appointment for me at WLC , within a couple of hours of phoning I was seen by the lovely Dr. York. She identified me having a chest infection, and reduced power in my lungs . Collected prescription from chemist. At 82 , I think I would have ended up in hospital had it not seen this Doctor. Amazing service Now a day later feeling much better. 😎

I was self funded and Mr Shepherd took on my case for new hip - other private hospital had turned me away. The operation was done within six weeks as an epidural and all went well. I had 2 nights stay and was treated with professional courtesy from all staff. Mr Shepherd promised me all would be well with no more pain , and so it is. I would recommend Mr Shepherd's team at Nuffield for a procedure.
