I was referred to Dr Shah with very shortness of breath, recurrent chest infections, uncontrolled asthma for years. IIt would be an understatement to say that my treatment has transformed my life. I am now a very active, energetic grandmother to 4 grandchildren all under 7 who live in Manchester and London . I can now manage the train journeys which I do every week and the walking without my usual cough , shortness of breath and fatigue. I feel totally blessed that I was referred to by my consultant to Dr Shah for help with the management of my asthma and Allergic Bronchopulmonary hypersensitivity. Dr Shah has shown kindness and understanding of any concern I had of my condition and treatment. My father was seen short notice on Wednesday the 5th of November which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately he did not have a good experience on his visit. The consultant came to see him in the waiting room and made him roll up his trousers and examined him in front of other people in the waiting room. He made him walk across the room with his trousers rolled up and as my father's hearing is not good he began to talk really loudly to him in front of these other people. I was with him and to be honest it was very degrading and embarrassing for a 79 year old man. He more or less told my father to get on with it and stop taking any antibiotics that were prescribed by his GP. My father ended up having an infection in his knee but unfortunately this man was very dismissive when my father said the knee was sore and had a lump on it and made us feel like we were just bothering him.

I had an excellent experience at Vitalscan. The whole team was incredibly professional and welcoming from start to finish. The radiographers — Abdo, Mahmoud, and Alice — were absolutely brilliant. They made me feel completely at ease and explained everything clearly before the scan. Their professionalism and kindness were outstanding. Jamie and Safia, the imaging assistants, were also fantastic — so friendly and reassuring throughout. And a special thanks to Mickey at reception, who was extremely helpful, polite, and made the whole booking process smooth and stress-free. Honestly, one of the best healthcare experiences I’ve ever had in the UK. Highly recommend Vitalscan for anyone needing an MRI or any imaging service.

Having had very complex abdominal surgery 20 years ago, I was extremely apprehensive about having any further investigations on my abdomen but Mr Ismail and his team were incredibly calming and reassuring. Mr Ismail is an absolutely outstanding surgeon, managing to complete my procedure, under extremely difficult circumstances given my level of scar tissue, with barely any discomfort . The whole procedure was explained clearly to me throughout and I would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend him to anyone requiring gastric investigations/procedures. The hospital is soulless. The staff seem to wander about aimlessly. I sat waiting in an empty waiting room, no water or coffee. My consultant was late, though no one told me. There was no one to ask, I had to try and find someone to track my consultant down. A nurse appeared then sat in the waiting room on her phone on a video call and then on Instagram, she didn’t acknowledge me. They found my consultant who then disappeared again , no idea where she went. She was over a half an hour late for my appointment, not great but made worse that no one bothered to come out and tell me. Very poor experience and not what I expected from this hospital.

Following the initial surgery and subsequent plate removal, my knee is now in excellent shape. I cannot recommend Mr. Chatoo highly enough.

Received excellent feedback after thorough review and feedback before receiving a final decision on the best way forward, I had considered going overseas for the treatment however, I do not believe I would have achieved. the same outcome as the level of detail and prep including contact lenses to establish the best option took time which I would not have been afforded by the overseas company as it was only a week long process. Mr Moraleda is an amazing doctor and incredibly human. I was deeply touched by his empathy. Finding someone like him when you are going through a difficult situation (hearing loss) really makes a difference and he made everything a little bit easier. I am very grateful.
