I recently visited John Flynn Opticians for my 2-yearly eye exam. Dr Janjua is always incredibly thorough in the eye exam, explaining each step and answering all my questions with patience. He takes the time to discuss my prescription in detail and also the variety of lens options available such as anti-fatigue, blue light reduction and anti-glare. I work in the computing industry and having the right eyewear makes the difference between a good day and one where you’re severely tired at the end of it. Dr Janjua’s expertise and attention to detail makes sure you’re confident it will be a good day. Dr Janjua is also supported by an amazing team. Everybody is welcoming and professional, making the entire process seamless and comfortable. I only needed new lenses this time which will be fixed to my existing frames, but when new frames have been required they’ve helped me choose the perfect frames that not only suit my style, but also feel comfortable. What really stands out is the personalised care and attention I received. Dr Janjua and the team genuinely care about your eye health and it shows. I highly recommend Dr Janjua and the team to anyone in need of eye care.

My initial consultation was friendly and efficient but the X-ray was not available owing to a powercut that suddenly lost access to the computer! I was overwhelmed a few days later when I phoned to ask if I could do anything to chase up the X-ray, as I was more than eager to be offered a date for the operation, and your team went above and beyond the call of duty to reach Mr Weitzel on the phone despite his being on holiday and to call me back to offer me an operation of 5 August, the date that I was thrilled to accept. During my stay at Blackheath Hospital I was given exemplary care by every member of staff and my recovery has been steady despite my attempting to return to work perhaps rather earlier than was entirely wise. The difference is transformational, and I'm now bouncing around once again after a period when I was having difficulty even walking across a room. Thank you for making so much difference to my life!

I had an absolutely amazing experience (yes, I had major surgery and I can still say that). From initial consultation with Mez, who was the first consultant (of many) to actually hear, understand and validate my symptoms... to the admissions team, pre op assessment, ward staff on surgery day, anaesthetist and theatre team, I honestly couldn't have had better care if I had gone private. 12 weeks post surgery and I have never felt better - didn't even realise until after my surgery that my pain was daily; I had got so used to it. Post op follow up was phenomenal, the whole surgery was explained in detail and I even came away with a video of my surgery which is fascinating. 10 Star surgeon and 10 star experience. I was truly impressed by her attitude and the way she treated me. When she inserted the needle to draw my blood, I barely felt anything — she clearly knew exactly where the vein was and performed the procedure with great skill. If people in this world were all like her, the world would be filled with endless happiness.

From the consultation to the end results, Mr Mohan was professional and responsive. He has a skill of recognising what needs to be done for my frame and body shape. I no longer have loose skin and have a flat tummy (wearing size 8-10!). The opportunity to have two consultants operating in their expert fields meant I got the best results. I would strongly recommend the Abdominal Wall Clinic.
