I would like to begin by acknowledging the excellent care I received from the doctors during my first visit. Both clinicians went above and beyond, and I felt genuinely supported by them. Unfortunately, this high standard was not reflected in my interactions with the reception and administrative staff. After my consultation, the doctor provided me with a ticket for my next appointment and advised that, in the meantime, I should attend the imaging department for an ultrasound. When I arrived at imaging, the staff were dismissive and informed me that, because I was an NHS patient, they would need to write to my GP for a separate referral. I explained that the doctor had instructed me to have the ultrasound the same day. The staff member responded that if I waited in reception, she would speak to the doctor, adding that “quite often they don’t know how things are done.” I waited for an hour with no update. When I approached the desk to ask for news, the staff member replied, “I’m sorry, I forgot all about you,” and said she would speak to the doctor immediately. After she finally did so, the situation changed dramatically: I was suddenly offered an ultrasound appointment for 11:30 a.m. that same day — just an hour and a half later. It was clear that once the doctor became aware of the issue, the department acted quickly and efficiently, which I appreciated, especially as I live only ten minutes away. The ultrasound itself was carried out professionally, and the doctor performing it was excellent. He explained everything clearly and asked when my next appointment was. When I told him it was scheduled for six weeks later, he advised me to return to the main reception and request an earlier appointment, as his report would be completed that same day. However, when I approached reception, I was dismissed outright and told, “Doctors make appointments six weeks in advance — it is what it is.” Additionally, there was no record of my attendance on their system, only an appointment dated 23 March 2026, which, by their own admission, belonged to a different patient entirely. On reflection, while staff may appear polite on the surface, the reality of my experience was the opposite. The inconsistency, dismissiveness, and lack of coordination created unnecessary stress and undermined the otherwise excellent clinical care I received.

I visited for the reason of a displaced IUD. I was being told over and over by my GP that symptoms were nothing to worry about even when I suggested I felt was an infection. I was given a time frame of 7 weeks just for the SCAN to find it, let alone being referred to gynaecology to actually get it removed. I enquired with Spire and was given an appointment with Dr. Latthe for a consultation within 2 days. When I went to my consultation, Dr. Latthe sat and really listened to my complaints before doing anything. She took what I said into consideration, made me feel really comfortable and reassured my feelings about the situation. She managed the coil removal, despite it being tricky and made what is a generally very unpleasant experience as good as it could possibly could be. She explained what she was doing at each step, asked my preference on things and kept it as painless as possible. I was thrilled with the care I received from Dr. Latthe. I would recommend her to anyone, especially when it feels like your regular GP isn't listening and anxiety is getting the better of you. Thank you doctor, you're a legend :)

All staff, from reception to nurses and surgeons, I found to be friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. I was generally rather nervous about the whole process, this being the very first time I experienced any form of surgery or a stay in hospital. However, I was treated with the utmost respect and understanding and felt well advised at all times, allowing me to make informed decisions at my own pace, without being pressured. I had to wait a bit longer than I had anticipated for surgery but by comparison to the NHS, it was efficient and slick. It is early days to comment properly on my shoulder replacement but things are progressing well although slowly and I am hopeful for the future.

Professor Akolekar has been absolutely Fantastic at every appointment all the way throughout our pregnancy. I was really struggling with anxiety in this pregnancy following recurrent miscarriages, and I have never felt more looked after, which has really helped me to be able to enjoy this pregnancy, knowing we have a fantastic consult looking after our baby. Appointments are always on time and very detailed, time is always made to answer any questions fully and I always leave feeling confident and reassured. The communication with Natalia is always great to book and arrange appointments. This clinic really go above and beyond and o couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Initially I decided to come and see Mr Biswas after reading excellent reviews about him and noting that he had retrained to be a Urogynaecologist, , specialising in Pelvic organ prolapse. I travelled a good distance to see him but felt that this would be worth it, to see an expert in this field. He was extremely caring and pleasant and explained thoroughly about all eventualities that may happen in surgery. Post surgery he took the time to come and see me whilst in hospital on more than one occasion and was genuinely caring. Dr Coker always presents in a professional yet approachable manner. She is very clear in explaining any tests results; her treatment plan; and any further investigations she thinks should be undertaken. The language she uses is accessible. She is receptive to answering any questions I might have. She promptly keeps my general practitioner informed of my current treatment, to ensure my medical care is managed holistically. She is an active listener and always allows me time to explain my current symptoms etc. In her professional manner, her approachability and her persistency in investigating my symptoms, I have confidence that I am in good hands.

As I work full time and do a lot of computer work I decided to pay to have Rayone Galaxy toric lenses. I am so pleased with the result. After wearing glasses since early teens I am now glasses free! Mr Injarie and all the staff at the clinic were friendly and professional and made you feel at ease. Mr Injarie took time to explain everything and obviously is a brilliant surgeon. I can't thank them enough. I was so nervous about having eye surgery but from start to finish I felt in very safe hands. I would highly recommend.

Went in for atrial fibrillation ablation procedure. Couldn't have gone better went in slightly late but whole procedure was very smooth. I felt fully informed of what was going on and in safe hands all the way through. Came out the other side with very little pain or discomfort and feel very confident that this procedure will be a success, even though I am aware and have been informed that it's around 70-80% in reality. Overall can't fault Dr. Eysenk at all

I had the best taking blood experience at MUMS. Usually it takes about 4-5 goes of me being pricked with a needle and it’s usually quite uncomfortable but here the doctor really took his time trying to find my veins and kept checking in on my wellbeing. I was only pricked once and it was successful (and no bruising afterwards). I would highly recommend.
