had a right knee replacement with Mr. Sam Rajaratnam just over two weeks ago on 3rd November 2025, and what I had feared would be a difficult and painful operation turned out to be completely painless. Sam is extremely kind, patient and reassuring — perfect for someone as nervous as I was. I had delayed doing this surgery for a year and a half and even cancelled the operation twice before finally going through with it! Mr. Rajaratnam has built an outstanding team, including an exceptionally experienced anaesthetist, Dr. Barry Philips; a kind and highly competent nurse consultant, Ms. Christine Howis; and an excellent senior physiotherapist, Felicitas Gatti, who visits me at home to guide my post-operative exercises. I was also extremely impressed by all the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic hospital, who provided exceptional care throughout my stay. Whilst at the Cleveland, Sam visited me daily, and even came in today after my staples were removed to check on my progress. Mr. Rajaratnam’s expertise is evident—he has performed over 7,000 knee replacements—and the level of care and support I received was extraordinary. I was expecting a significant increase in pain once the stronger medication stopped a week after surgery, but to my surprise, I remained completely pain-free. I am extremely grateful to Sam and his wonderful team. I’ll be back for my other knee as soon as I’m up and running again!

I am writing to formally complain about misleading advertising by the clinic Skin55. Their website led me to believe that laser treatments were available at the clinic, and I booked a consultation directly with the clinic, not with any specific doctor. However, upon attending the appointment, I was informed that the clinic did not have the required laser equipment and that not all doctors at Skin55 perform laser treatments. This discrepancy meant that I paid an initial consultation fee of £300, only to then be told that I would need to be referred to another doctor within the same clinic who does provide laser treatments. This second consultation was then quoted at £380. This sequence of events highlights a lack of transparency and constitutes misleading advertising, resulting in unnecessary expenses and inconvenience. I believe that this matter warrants investigation to ensure that Skin55’s practices align with advertising and consumer-protection regulations. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation upon request

I was referred to Dr Shah with very shortness of breath, recurrent chest infections, uncontrolled asthma for years. IIt would be an understatement to say that my treatment has transformed my life. She is highly skilled in diagnosing her patients with accuracy and efficiency, while also attending thoughtfully to the human concerns that naturally arise when one needs medical evaluation or treatment. Her follow-up letters are always clear, thorough, and truly helpful. Even her secretary is accessible, kind, and supportive, which makes the entire experience smooth and reassuring. Dr. Kariyawasam initially became my doctor by chance, as I needed an urgent appointment and she happened to be available. It is no coincidence, however, that she will remain my doctor moving forward. Her care is outstanding in every way.

I recently had surgery at Spire Leicester Hospital. The medical staff were amazing, friendly, informative and they really helped put me at ease throughout my stay. However, the administrative side needs be improved, as it took several weeks of chasing before I finally received my booking confirmation. Additionally, after my large open inguinal hernia operation, I was discharged without being offered a wheelchair and had to walk down from the second floor to leave the hospital, which was difficult so soon after surgery. Overall, excellent clinical care, but room for improvement in administration and patient support on discharge.

Mr Saleh explained in clear detail exactly what the procedure would be. He has a very pleasant manner, also displaying great patience and consideration as I’m not the easiest person to be around sometimes. The outcome of my deep plane facelift was exceptional - the results far exceeded my expectations. Mr Saleh didn’t over play the potential outcome he offered realistic outcomes but to my delight the results were beyond what I’d hoped far. I’m 4.5 years on from the process but the results have held super well, so on that basis I can only recommend to potential patients to look no further. A deserved 5 star ⭐ from me.

The visit was very good. The reception staff on arrival were very distracted, not very welcoming and chatting with each other . Otherwise everyone was excellent. I am disappointed that I am privately insured and the hospital / Mr Maurino team were unable to bill the insurance company for my initial appointment and pre operation I have been sent a bill for the procedure which did not include an option for insurance billing. ( i know that I have to cover the anaesthetist and the lenses separately). I have given Moorfields my insurance details. I would be a big improvement if this could be improved

Arrived in good time but parking was appalling. No toilet in the temporary scanner, so had to find another in main building. Was a little out of breath in return and was sent straight in. Told to stay still, but was still breathing a little hard which wasn’t taken into account. The staff were pleasant but seemed to give up on me when I couldn’t hear instructions through the headphones (I had been told to wear ear protection buds underneath).
