    Dr Shalini Chawla

Shalini was recommended to us by a friend who sang her praises after she delivered her second child by elective caesarean. We are so glad our paths crossed and we could not have asked for a more wonderful person to accompany and guide us on the journey of pregnancy and the birth of our first baby. We will forever be grateful to Shalini for that. Her kindness and warmth put us at ease from the first time we met and each subsequent meeting felt a bit like getting together with an old friend - albeit an incredibly professional and knowledgeable one, at the top of her game. We are in awe of how Shalini has the strength and energy to so serenely navigate the many professional roles she holds, whilst still being so present and down to earth, taking time and care to answer every single question we had, during our in person meetings or via WhatsApp at all hours of the day. I had quite early on started to consider an elective c-section, a decision that I subsequently went back and forth on as the months went by but ultimately settled on, mostly to avoid being induced at 39 weeks due to my age. Shalini took a lot of time talking us through the risks and benefits of both a vaginal and abdominal birth and when the day came I felt so safe and well taken care of, knowing I was in the best possible hands to ensure a safe delivery for myself and my baby. The birth didn’t feel clinical or scary, the whole experience was so calm and serene. Almost 4 weeks later I am recovering really well and regaining my strength. One of our midwives said my scar was the neatest she had seen in a long time. We are full of gratitude to Shalini that the birth of our daughter is a day we will forever remember to be such a beautiful one, that got us off to the best possible start on the incredible journey that is parenthood.

I was seen by a young male dentist (apologies, he did tell me but I can't recall his name and it isn’t listed on the website – perhaps he is new). He was professional, informative, and efficient throughout my appointment. As I’m allergic to local anaesthetics, fillings can be particularly uncomfortable, but he was very reassuring and took great care, as did the dental nurse. By far, this has been the best service I’ve experienced at the practice to date. My only critique is not directed at the dentist himself, but rather the practice’s policy. Over the past couple of years, I’ve noticed that patients cannot book a filling replacement directly without first having a pre-booking consultation. This essentially doubles both the cost and the time needed off work. In my case, a chipped filling was causing pain due to decay, and it was obvious that a replacement filling was required. I had to insist several times when booking that I did not need a pre-assessment, only a filling appointment. Given that I am a private patient and a silver filling costs almost £200, being charged for an unnecessary pre-booking simply to confirm what is already evident feels unreasonable.

    Mr Clemens von Widekind

Mr Von Widekind is truly dedicated to the exceptional care of his patients and has a wealth of knowledge on endometriosis; something that’s very hard to find. He was the only specialist who listened to me and took my symptoms seriously. Amazingly, he was also the first to identify my Adenomyosis after I’d had a number of scans from other specialists. He got me in for a laparoscopy within a matter of weeks and I genuinely felt I was in more than capable hands. I woke up to the validation I had been denied for almost a year by other doctors and was talked through all the findings in detail. The aftercare has been just as wonderful. I’m incredibly grateful to Mr Von Widekind for his care, his expertise, and his dedication to improving women’s health. He’s always made me feel comfortable and talked to me as an equal. I couldn’t recommend him anymore highly. And a huge thank you to his amazing secretary, Sue Harrison. Thank you for organising appointments and maintaining clear communication throughout the process! I’m so grateful to you both. I have my life back!

I did have to wait a while before I was seen, maybe 30 minutes or so, but all the staff were wonderful, caring and reassuring all the way through to being cared for after the procedure. However I feel that the consultant over sprayed the anaesthetic in my throat, he sprayed about 3-4 squirts in my throat, stood back for a moment then sprayed another 3-4 squirts, some of which ended up going into the back of my nasal passages at the back of my throat which gave me a terrible burning sensation in the back of my nasal passages. Maybe this amount is normal, but having had the procedure at another establishment some years earlier, I had no such experience, again I found that there was so much mucus in my throat from the anaesthetic after the procedure that I found myself gagging on the mucus and I was coughing loads of it up into tissues the nurse had to provide me with. Plus I was unable to swallow properly for what seemed like ages. But over all, the staff were wonderful and very caring, but if I need this again, after this experience, I think I would prefer to be sedated.

    Mr Simon Coleridge

    Orthopaedic Surgeon

After a misdiagnosis and a slow journey to eventual diagnosis within the NHS, I knew I wanted my surgery in a timely manner - since I was already nearly a year after injury not playing the sport I love. I also was anxious about the statistics surrounding ACL (and meniscus) surgery regarding return to sport. I wanted an expert in the field and a consultant who come recommended. So with that, booking with Mr Coleridge was a no brainer. From booking, to my 6 month appointment (which subsequently resulted in a discharge!) I have felt it was money well spent. I cannot fault Mr Coleridge’s expertise and bedside manner. You can tell he really cares about what he does. The surgery went really well and he even waited until the GA wore off to come and tell me this. I am so grateful and sincerely thankful for the work he’s done, and I’m counting down the days till I return to sport. I also want to thank his med sec, Sarah, who responded promptly to any queries I had.

This is , or should be: a two way experience betweeen the Consultant and the Patient , This morning Mr Daron Smith , ENGAGED in explaining what technical medical info he needed , before he would decide how to deal with the three problem areas . The Loose stones in my bladder , seen in earlier scan (s) at C W S. His need to talk to Consultant Owen Warren , and others already in the C and W loop . The purpose is for absolote clarification . Similarly Mr Smith would discover any facts unclear in the abdominal area . I attempted to give Mr Smith to my best endeavour, my understanding of our discussion . Such a discussion had never taken place with me before ..at C ans W . I agreed the next steps .. the first one being for me to have relevant scans on Thusday 18 the Sept. followed by a second consultation with Mr Smith with me , one to one .

I have only had an initial interaction with one of the doctors at the female health doctor MK, so far I've fiubd the service to be very quick with a variation of cost affective options for the first conversation. I personally have been met with finally feeling heard from a professional in the medical field after a year and a half of constant GP appointments and being on referral waiting list for over a year. I have been advised about a test package to help me further with my specific issues, and have had nothing short of polite communication and quick responses. I would so far 100% recommend any female to reach out to this company for help with their health.

After suffering with horrendous shoulder pain for many years, I was delighted when I met Mr Waseem. From my first appointment with him, I had full confidence that he would make me feel better. My shoulder surgery went really well and my recovery with the Physio‘s help has been really good, it is ongoing with exercises but I’ve been discharged today which is fantastic news. Mr. Waseem has always been very pleasant and informative, from the first time I met him I felt confident and safe in his capable hands.

I had the privilege of being a patient under Professor Bajaj who, in the space of just a few short weeks, managed to successfully diagnose and build a treatment plan for an ENT issue that has caused me problems since a very young age. Professor Bajaj was incredibly attentive to my needs and explained everything well in an appropriate manner to ensure that his care remained patient led from the start. I really appreciate the care received and recommend him to anyone who may require similar services.

I accompanied my mum for her consultation with Mr Gudsoorkar regarding her cataract surgery. She was deemed unfit by a neighbouring hospital due to her back problems and very anxious about it. He discussed issues in detail and reassured us that she would be ok on the adaptable bed available in theatre . Theatre staff was very kind, ensuring she was comfortable throughout the procedure . She is absolutely delighted with her new eyes . Thank you Mr Gudsoorkar for your kindness and expertise

I came to Dr Malik after a frustrating experience with my NHS GP (sad to say). The best choice I ever made, Dr Malik made me feel at ease from the moment I met her - uncomfortable pelvic exams were a breeze because of her lovely and warm manner. Moreover, she works fast and efficiently when it comes to next steps and interpreting results. I left the practice feeling better than I had in months. I would 100% recommend her to anyone.
