Throughout my nursing career I have worked with many consultants in both the public and private sectors, I was exceptionally disappointed in the lack of care, compassion and empathy I was shown during my appointment! * He shook the previous patients hand, he did not even offer his hand to me, nor did he introduce himself. * He recorded the whole consultation on his phone without asking for consent. * He didn’t undertake a thorough examination, all he did was ask me to bend and straighten my leg, pushed my knee to see where the pain was. No assessing me walking, rotating nothing. * No assessing my pain, or asking what analgesia I take. * The treatment decision was made on an X-ray which is from 2024, I had to push for him to read my MRI from Oct 2025. Which he only skim read. * Said I need to stop exercising as it doesn’t help, I need to go on monjaro (which is clinically not advised for me with a HBa1C of 26!) for weight loss, and then I need a knee replacement. Also I need to eat less without asking what I eat. * Said arthroscopy would be futile, and the meniscal tear is part of life! Despite not looking at the MRI to see the extent of the tear. I then asked about having my 33mm cyst aspirated which he said he can arrange if I want it. Which I said I do! * I was out in less than 10 mins!!!

I have been seeing Josh at Reflex 18 for the past two months as part of my recovery plan following a Total Knee Replacement in October 2025. During my initial consultation, Josh carefully established my prior level of fitness and worked with me to identify ambitious yet realistic rehabilitation goals. He designed a bespoke programme of graduating exercises which are further adapted during each subsequent appointment. I find it helpful that Josh demonstrates each exercise, fine tunes my ‘effort’ and also emails a visual guide, as a reminder, after each appointment. I believe that I have made far greater progress in terms of knee flexion, stamina and strength by visiting Reflex 18 than I ever would have done if I had attempted to pursue my own rehab using a book or online package. Josh has the ability to identify which muscles need to be worked upon in order to achieve a certain goal and this is something which I could have not done myself. The Reflex 18 rooms are immaculately clean and are well-equipped. I have found every staff member to be friendly and highly professional. There is never any pressure to book further appointments. Parking is plentiful and convenient.. I am very happy with the support which I have received from Reflex 18.

I had my hysterectomy 2.5 weeks after my initial consultation. My bleeding was so heavy that between Mr Pakarian and his amazing PA Emily, they managed to squeeze me in before Christmas. I saw him on my 6 week follow up and he said it was all a success. He said the fibroid was still there and that my previous treatment had not been effective at all. And he wouldn’t have recommended it in the first place as the fibroid was so big. He has now rectified the mistake and even apologised for the previous consultants error. He kept me informed the whole way through my time with him in letters to me and my GP and has said I can contact him anytime if I have any problems. I had the operation at Goring Hall and my consultations at Montefoire. Goring Hall were amazing and looked after me so well. It was like I was in a hotel. I can’t speak hugely enough about the staff I have encountered on this journey. And I am hugely grateful and appreciative of all the help and care I received.

Nurses and clinicians very friendly and made the experience much more bearable (Dom, Karen, Svetlana and Maria - thank you!) Main issue with my experience was inability to get basic medication required for pain relief post-surgery. Was told my procedure would be finished and we could leave around noon. But my pain medication (codeine and paracetamol, so nothing complicated!) had to be couriered from a local pharmacy. We waited over 4 hours for it to arrive and it never came. In the meantime my numbing had worn off and I was in a lot of pain - my partner had to go and ask the nurses if there was any spare codeine I could have while I waited. We eventually gave up and went home after many hours wasted, and had to pay for a private prescription at a pharmacy near home. Appreciate delay was with pharmacy and nurses did their best to get updates, but this system is not working.

I highly recommend Mr Abdul Kasem. From the outset, he acted quickly and thoroughly, ensuring nothing was missed and nothing was too much trouble. He was exceptionally hands-on, making time to see me when schedules were tight and even calling in the evenings to explain next steps, which was hugely reassuring. Every consultation felt calm and unhurried, with clear explanations and a compassionate, relaxed manner that built real confidence. His positivity and encouragement made the situation feel winnable and well managed throughout. The efficiency and coordination of his team were outstanding, and the respect they clearly have for him was evident. My heartfelt thanks to Mr Kasem, who has clearly found his calling in helping people through difficult moments and making them that little bit easier.

Attentive and thorough care received. Pitt that Benenden policy prevents sharing of imaging results so that another professional caring for patient can compare notes. Resulted in 1 month delay with MEI brain which required further investigation by CT when ENT specialist went on leave for a month and sane with CT abdo as follow up appointment planned alnost a month after test and had to be under care of another specialist abroad. The Secretary catehorically refused to send report citing Policy. Not the Doctor's fault but when Drs cantl't follow up for a month, reports should be shared.

The booking team are very unhelpful. They are not following the doctors instructions and offer appointments that are spread out throughout the day. There needs to be clear communication between them. My doctors secretary has ignored the doctors instructions and failed to respond to my email to address my appointment schedules. This has caused me to waste 4 weeks. I only came to your clinic as I wanted to see a world renowned doctor. Sadly your service has tainted that doctor’s reputation.

Staff were extremely kind and helped me with my anxiety. I was so worried and all of the staff calmed me and explained clearly what would be happening. They treated me with respect and were proffessional at all times. There were no times during any visit that I felt awkward to ask for anything, or to ask questions. From my GP referral to my initial appointment it was less then 2 weeks. Before surgery I had 3 post operation assessments. The operation was completed as a day admission. I was kept full informed and treated with kindness and respect by all the staff. Mr Bhardwaj saw me on the morning before the operation and again later after it had been completed. Again, I was kept fully informed about my condition.

Significant improvement in fitness after 6 months and back to previous fitness levels after 12months. If you want to get back in shape after a heart op then I can’t recommend them highly enough.
