My experience has been nothing short of exceptional. My initial contact was with Tracey Lomax (Manager), and from the very beginning she offered a level of care and attention that truly stood out. I had written a long list of questions—around eight—and she took the time to highlight and respond to every single one. When I later sent even more questions regarding my chosen procedure (a Coronary CT Angiogram), she continued to provide thorough, reassuring answers. My intention was simply to undergo a non-invasive heart assessment at the age of 53—much like purchasing travel insurance, you prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Tracey reassured me that this was absolutely the right place for such an assessment. I had already enquired with two other providers, including Alliance Medical, but their responses felt robotic and impersonal. The level of genuine care here made all the difference. I also want to highlight the professionalism of the radiologist, who carried out the scan with great precision and made me feel completely at ease throughout the procedure. In addition, the nurse who took my blood samples three days prior to the scan was equally kind and professional—and the fact that these pre-scan blood tests were fully included in the cost was a significant and appreciated gesture. Dr. Gavin Lewis was the consultant who saw me both before and after the scan, with the consultation arranged on the same day. His explanation of the results was clear, calm, and reassuring. Both my wife and I left feeling confident about the future and grateful for the guidance he provided—including helpful advice on maintaining a healthy heart and speaking with my GP about medication adjustments. The final report arrived at my home within seven days, and a copy was also sent directly to my GP. My medication was promptly reviewed, updated, and delivered straight to my home. I am taking the time to write such a detailed review because they genuinely deserve it. They put real effort into caring for me, and I want to acknowledge that level of dedication. Highly recommended.

As I am not a well person and a wheelchair user, the wait was longer due to my health and help to get out. The staff were very understanding around this. I found though, beyond reception the phone system was not the easiest due to the very short length of time given to leave your message, which for people who are disabled, so not the fastest just basic messages of name, number, DOB plus short message, it frequently cut off before you had finished. Beyond that, it was a pleasant experience as it was the least painful steroid injection I'd had to date and I did let the consultant know that. The staff were helpful and accommodating as a wheelchair user plus self employed PA we know we take up space, so not the easiest inside a small room. Thankfully I can still transfer which helps so I can fold the wheelchair up once on to the couch. The staff were very helpful around my safety doing so which is always really appreciated. Please thank them for me.

I can't say enough wonderful things about my hip surgery experience and the exceptional care I received, my surgeon Mr Sobti was absolutely outstanding, he took the time to explain every step of the procedure, ensuring I fully understood what to expect. The level of care didn't stop after surgery either, Mr Sobti personally came to see me the day after surgery, which meant so much and truly shows his dedication and compassion for his patients, this made me feel genuinely cared for. My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.

I almost don’t know where to start. From my first meeting, I was filled with confidence, and felt at ease. This was my second total knee replacement, the first one (with a different consultant) had been quite difficult due to no one’s fault. My second knee with Mr Barksfield could not have been mare different. I am now 8 weeks post op and have virtually no pain, can walk normally and feel like I did 6-8 years ago. Stairs are a breeze, I can walk normally up and down slopes and intend to play golf this weekend. I could not be more delighted with the outcome. A massive thank you to Mr Barksfield and his team.

Great experience in general. The whole thing from the emails you get, the appointment scheduling and of course visiting the doctor, all went really smoothly. I saw Dr Antbring who was really lovely and helped me through my journey including the initial scan, sending me for the MRI and helping me to decide and then actually doing the injection and of course a plan for my rehab exercises. Great experience overall. Now I need to wait a week and then start with the rehab and fingers crossed I make a full recovery. I appreciate everything. Thanks again!

The New Vic --- now known as the 'BUPA New Victoria' --- is a smallish but excellent private hospital situated just off the A3 between Wimbledon and Kingston. It has recently been enlarged and its large Reception is now most welcoming. So far as I know, the rooms are all of the ground floor and overlook well-maintained gardens. Surgical procedures that my family and I have had at the New Vic over the last thirty years have all been trouble-free and successful.

She explained what she was doing & what would happen if & when I had surgery . Just a couple of things… Firstly, during the pre-assessment appointment with the specialist nurse, I was informed that a catheter would be inserted by the anaesthetist - which is incorrect! (think it’s the nurse, but it was important to me as I knew the anaesthetist personally) Secondly, please move the wall clock in the room! Following surgery when you’re lying awake during what feels like an endless night, it would be good to be able to know what time it is.

Grace waudby took my initial assessment on a video link she took her time and explained every and asked about everything. The assignment was supposed to be 30mins it took longer. When I went in for the viscual assessment she came and introduced herself again. Which was nice she did but never had too.
