Following an angiogram that showed a need for heart by-pass surgery, I had a follow up appointment with Mr Javangula at the end of January 2024. At this appointment we talked about my heart history, and he comprehensively explained the need for by-pass surgery. At this stage there was a 3 to 4 month waiting list with the NHS, but because of the severity of my condition I opted for private treatment. I had quadruple heart by-pass surgery on the 14th February 2024 a (a great day to get your heart fixed). I cannot thank Mr Javangula enough for the amazing care I received. He came to see me personally every day following my surgery, including across the weekend. He was incredibly kind and reassuring, always taking the time to explain everything clearly at every stage. His professionalism and kindness made a huge difference at what was a very worrying and stressful time. I would also like to say thank you to the whole team at Nuffield Leeds Hospital. The care I received was outstanding from admission to my discharge. Every member of staff was attentive and compassionate. I would highly recommend Mr Javangula and the team at Nuffield. If you’re looking for a heart surgeon, he’s your man! Thank you so much.

After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. My first appointment was arranged within a week. After my appointment I was offered surgery in exactly one more week. Everything was great, lovely facilities, lovely staff. Everyone was very friendly and constantly being offered coffee etc. On every occasion I was taken either on time or early. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained and what the best lenses for me would be, based on my history and interests. On the day of surgery, everything went fine and there was no pain whatsoever, merely a strange feeling as the surgeon did his stuff. Afterwards I was given advice re eye drops and aftercare and again all great. Everything was fine when I got home, merely discomfort and that soon passed. I had plenty of people checking and following up that all was well. Finally, I had a follow up visit after a few weeks and again everything was great and very professional and I was advised to see my optician and GP. Throughout my time, the service I received was first class.

My visit was my first consultation with regard my eyes having been identified with high pressure and identified the need for cataract surgery to protect the eyes. Mr Lee was professional and very reassuring with his careful assessment of my eyes including a general eye test, his own pressure test(using high quality instruments making it much easier for my eyes), making his own assessment of my optic nerves and macular degeneration. He then clarified the benefits of the cataract operations and also, in my case, the limitations . I found this very reassuring. Further measurements using further top quality instruments were taken to inform the needed procedures. The quality of his expertise and clear explanations, including responding to my questions and anxieties has given me peace of mind and confidence in going ahead as planned. We agreed dates that enabled me to still enjoy two planned holidays. So thank you for your care.

Mum was almost blind wearing really thick glasses, and couldn't see at all without them. She had a few complications with her eyes but Dr Stewart and team endeavoured to give her as much sight back as possible, even if just slight. After her cataracts surgery on the 'good' eye, she is like a new woman. At nearly 78yrs old, mum doesn't need to wear her glasses for the first time since she was young. She can see clearer and further away. Close up is still difficult but we trust that after both eyes are done, and potentially glasses again with alot less prescription, she will be able to see so much better. She's had no pain or anything. The drs were brilliant and we can't thank them enough. This is the best thing to have happened to mum who was petrified to get her eyes done. She says he is the best Dr I have ever seen and I'm so happy.

10/10 experience. We had our 10 year old son assessed for ADHD. From the moment i called to enquire about the process and what are the steps involved to the actually assessment, everyone has been amazing. Steven in the front office walked me through the entire process, what to expect, costings etc. he was polite, kind and very professional. Dr Hollie Hearfield who did the assessment was lovely. She was so good with our son, she explained everything to us as to what the next steps are. I cannot recommend you enough to others who might be thinking of going private. The surgery itself went very smoothly with an epidural and sedation and post-op the care was thorough and well co-ordinated. I'd been forewarned that it was a painful operation but still I needed to experience this first hand. With the kind support of family and friends (they formed a 'I Love my New Knee' Whatsapp group to liaise with one another) my good recovery has taken me by surprise. The hospital was totally 'there' for me with any enquiries. I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity for such prompt 'no fuss' surgical care with a fabulous hospital experience. Thank you.

For each of the initial consultation, surgery and post-op follow-up Mr Crabtree provided an excellent service, instilling confidence through friendly yet consise communication. My hernia repair operation was very much a success and my speedy recovery I believe was down to the surgical skills of Mr Crabtree. It would have been nice for me to have had a brief meeting with Mr Crabtree on the day (the post-operation) to discuss a concern. That said, the nurse looking after me was able to convey that all had gone well and that no complications were envisaged.

The consultant was very reassuring throughout. The teams, medical and physio, came across as calm, competent and professional. Went in for atrial fibrillation ablation procedure. Couldn't have gone better went in slightly late but whole procedure was very smooth. I felt fully informed of what was going on and in safe hands all the way through. Came out the other side with very little pain or discomfort and feel very confident that this procedure will be a success, even though I am aware and have been informed that it's around 70-80% in reality. Overall can't fault Dr. Eysenk at all
