Moorfields truly deserves its reputation as the best eye hospital in the world. Mr Pal is an exceptional surgeon—highly knowledgeable, calm, polite, and genuinely caring. I have been living with diabetic retinopathy for a long time, and the fear of losing my sight has been constant. Thanks to Mr Pal’s expertise and treatment, my vision is now stable, and I feel reassured that my eyesight is safe. I am also deeply grateful to the entire team who supported me throughout this journey. Mr Pal’s secretary was wonderful, and the lady I spoke to on the phone took the time to explain every step clearly and patiently. She followed up with a detailed yet easy-to-understand email outlining the treatment and costs, which made a very daunting situation much easier to manage. The nursing staff were equally outstanding—kind, attentive, and reassuring at every stage. While the treatment is expensive, it is absolutely worth it when it comes to preserving your eyesight. After living in fear for so long, this care has given me peace of mind and hope again. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Mr Pal. I discovered him purely by chance through an acquaintance, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Moorfields Eye Hospital and Mr Pal to anyone. I truly hope more people become aware of the outstanding work he does.

Walking into Spire hospital at Manchester, I was greeted by really good reception staff who listened to what I said and then made it happen. It felt very well organised. Into the wards/clinics for treatment, I was again greeted by friendly, confident staff who quickly put me at ease and explained what was to be carried out. All of my tests/treatments were carried out very professionally, on time and with care and respect. I felt comletly at ease throughtout. 5 Stars in every respexct for the clinical staff and Spire Manchester. Bad Experiencies. Dealing with the Spire Online/ Phone back office and Booking System. It was diabolical in all aspects. It appeared to be very dis-jointed and not able to pass information on internally nor take notice of what I told them. I received meaningless paperwork that bore little resemblance to what was to be done and its timeline. The night before treatment, around 8 p.m., I even received an email that told me all my procedures/ tests were to be carried out in Liverpool, not Manchester. Very poor level communications from Spire admin. very bad experience for me.

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

Dr Alex Georgiou provided an outstanding second opinion for my uncle at a very difficult and uncertain time for our family. Even though he was not the treating oncologist, he showed genuine care, generosity, and commitment to the case, taking the time to review details thoroughly and explain everything with kindness and clarity. He was calm, reassuring, and honest, helping us understand the situation and the treatment plan in a way that gave us confidence and hope. His approach made us feel supported and listened to, rather than rushed or dismissed, which meant a great deal to both the patient and our family. We are deeply grateful for his professionalism, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond, and we would highly recommend Dr Georgiou to anyone seeking expert oncological advice.

The assessment was very thorough but efficient at the same time. The team on-site put me at ease, demonstrated confidence in their abilities and ensured I understood the problem and potential next steps. The practical next steps (eg costs, timescale and dates) were not the focus of this appointment and therefore, at no point did I feel a pressure to commit. The focus was more on the calibre of staff who would manage my next procedure and we also discussed any medical concerns I had. I walked out of the session thinking why on earth have I held back so long on getting this treatment done! Thanks to the team both the Dr and Fabrizio were incredibly professional and welcoming.

From the first consultation through to post-operative care, she was calm, reassuring, and very clear in her explanations, which gave me complete confidence and peace of mind. The results have been excellent, and my vision has improved significantly beyond my expectations. Matar, anaesthetic specialist, theatre team provided outstanding surgical care with clear explanations and reassurance throughout. The nursing team were attentive and supportive, helping manage pain and early mobility. The hospital was clean, calm, and well‑organised, making the whole process smooth from admission to discharge. Overall, I felt well looked after and confident in my recovery, and I would highly recommend The Park Hospital for joint replacement surgery.

I had a breast reduction and uplift with Parkash Lohana in December 2025 and I am delighted with the results. All the staff here are so kind and friendly. Special shout out to Roslyn for how well she looked after me (and my very anxious mum!) on the day, Bernadette, Lisa, but everyone has been amazing. I'm still healing and had to come in for a same day appointment to have something checked and Belinda totally put me at ease and gave me really clear information. Honestly couldn't fault a single element of my experience!

I had been referred by Bupa and the Dundee location wasn’t the nearest but it was possible to get an appointment sooner. So it proved awkward to drive to but I knew that when booking. For my discharge appointment it wasn’t great driving for three hours round trip for a five min chat that could have been done over the phone. Otherwise I had a really great experience with the team and Dr Mowat. He was speedy, knowledgeable, understanding, patient, professional, friendly and very approachable. I would highly recommend

We paid £240 to the consultant and gained no extra knowledge or benefit. She basically couldn’t help because she said I needed fertility and not recurrent miscarriage. She said there was a fertility consultant there I should have booked with. Then why not offer to not charge me and book me with right person? Isn’t that what healthcare should be about rather than about taking my money? There is no triage service in place to make sure I got the right appointment. I feel robbed at a time where I am vulnerable.

Mr Taylor has been my son’s ophthalmologist since he was 8 weeks old. He has always given me very clear explanations regarding my son’s vision and the possible complications surrounding it. He’s always kind and compassionate and really listens when I’m explaining what I see at home. My sons vision is particularly complex due to multiple disabilities which makes everything that bit harder, but Mr Taylor always goes above and beyond to do what he can, within the parameters of my sons capability.

She asked questions and listened carefully to my answers to build a picture of the various issues I’ve experienced and see whether they’re linked.
