Choosing Cleveland Clinic London for my endometriosis surgery was one of the most transformative decisions of my life. I arrived exhausted, scared, and carrying years of pain — and I left feeling safe, understood, and finally free. My surgeon, Dr Mohamed Mabrouk, is truly extraordinary. He is one of those rare doctors who combine world-class surgical skill with genuine compassion. What he achieved in the operating room still amazes me. Although I was originally diagnosed with milder endometriosis, once the surgery began it turned out to be stage 4 — something that often can only be discovered during laparoscopy, because deep infiltrating lesions simply cannot be seen on scans. This can happen “out of the blue,” and it did in my case. Yet even with this unexpected complexity, Dr Mabrouk removed every single trace of disease with exceptional precision: • My ovarian reserve was fully preserved. • None of my organs were damaged. • Not even a single blood vessel was touched. This level of surgical accuracy is incredibly rare for stage 4 cases. Many women lose organs or face complications, but he protected every part of my body. His steadiness, confidence, and expertise are on a completely different level. But beyond his skill, what touched me most was his kindness. He explained everything patiently, made me feel safe, and even called me personally after the surgery — including on weekends — just to check on me. He is a doctor with a huge heart. My anesthesiologist, Jeremy R. Prout, was equally exceptional — calm, reassuring, and so professional that I felt safe even in the most vulnerable moment before going under. The nursing team was unbelievable. They checked on me day and night, looked after my pain management, took tests, reassured me constantly, and treated me with so much warmth. They didn’t just do their job — they cared. After discharge, the nurses continued to support me over the phone, checking on my recovery and symptoms. They even provided me with all the medication I needed to take home, which made everything easier and much less stressful. The hospital itself felt peaceful, clean, luxurious — beautiful private rooms, delicious food available at any time, and a calm atmosphere that truly helps recovery. Now, one month after my complex robotic surgery, I can say something I never thought I would again: my physical and mental health is finally restored. I have no pain. I feel light and calm. My body feels healthy for the first time in years. My mind feels peaceful. Cleveland Clinic London, Dr Mohamed Mabrouk didn’t just treat my illness, he gave me my life back. After seeing one doctor who was very much "your body will get used to it", so glad to find Dr Gibson who was more sympathetic to my symptoms. A few months (and two negative FNA's) later I have now had one session of RFA to shrink some annoying thyroid nodules. Early days, but fingers crossed symptoms will start to go away soon. Dr Gibson throughout has been very good, and has a very calm and nice way about him that puts you at ease when your not sure what to expect. All 3 procedures I have had have been well explained to me and I have been well looked after by him and his team of nurses, everyone very good at checking you are ok thoughtout too. He has also been very understanding and helpful regards my job situation and loss of Bupa cover. In the franticness of the Royal Berks Hospital (not there fault, just very busy!) his calmness helped settle my nerves and it was very much a case of anticipation being well worse than the procedure itself. Fingers crossed the procedure works for me, early days, but would definitly recommend it to anyone ahead of thyroid removal for anyone whos thyroid is working fine. I would recommend him 100%! (Although he was a little mean having a cup of tea with me just before the RFA when I wasnt allowed anything! But I'll let him off that bit)

I have nothing but praise for Mr Morgan and his team. He is the ultimate professional. I had double knee replacement surgery just over six weeks ago and yesterday was signed off by both Mr Morgan and the physio. This is normally done at about twelve weeks. I took my first drive today and cannot feel better. Mr Morgan gave excellent advice, bringing to my attention that physio exercises must be adhered to, and he was right. Every aspect of surgeries considered, explained and fully understood by me so I could make a decision with regard to surgery.

I would very highly recommend the Clayton ward. We have had two babies there and were really well looked after by kind, happy staff (doctors, midwives, assistants, catering and reception) who taught us a huge amount about how to care for a newborn. Having access to 121 support from midwives anytime day or night is just invaluable. The food was very good (for hospital food) and we genuinely looked forward to it each day - it really helped us recover as sleep deprived parents.

Just needed a referral for an overseas routine scan and I achieved what I needed. NHS in their wisdom won't provide scans for those with a strong family history indicator which is fine but utterly absurd not to provide a referral just because a CT machine (superior to most in the UK) is located overseas. These scans can be life savers and it's useful that this provider can fulfil the common sense role that the NHS abdicates responsibility on.
