Here is a professional but firm version suitable for a website review: ⸻ I saw Dr Naveed Shaikh privately at Spire Bushey Hospital and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. My very first appointment set the tone. The clinic was running over an hour late with no communication or apology. As a private patient, I expected a basic level of organisation and respect for my time, but this was lacking. Communication from his secretary was also poor from the beginning, with appointment issues and slow responses. I later had a scheduled telephone consultation and did not receive a call until three to four hours after the agreed time, again with no prior warning or apology. The most concerning issue was the advice I was given regarding my treatment pathway. I was told to arrange my second injection via my GP through NHS Choose and Book in order to be treated at Clementine Churchill Hospital. No proper explanation of the process was provided. I followed this advice, only to attend an appointment with a completely different consultant who had none of my records and informed me that a GP cannot refer directly for a procedure — only a consultant can. I was told the advice I had been given was incorrect and that Dr Shaikh should have arranged this himself. This mistake caused significant delay, wasted time, a day off work, and worsening symptoms while I remained untreated. When I raised these concerns at a later appointment, I felt dismissed and interrupted. I was even told, “It’s not like you have cancer and you are dying.” I found this comment inappropriate and lacking empathy. Patients do not need to be terminally ill to deserve respectful communication and proper care. There was no apology for the delays or incorrect advice, and I was ultimately told he did not wish to treat me. For a private consultant, this level of organisation, communication, and professionalism was extremely disappointing. As a result, my treatment has been delayed by several months and I have been left in ongoing pain. Based on my experience, I would not recommend.

I was extremely nervous about my appointment here, but I didn’t need to be, because from the moment I walked thru the doors I was greeted with big smiles from the receptionists, which was the start of a pleasant experience here, everywhere was exceptionally clean, tidy and organised. Throughout my visit the staff were thoughtful, friendly, caring and informative. . I can’t thank Dr Mo Faris enough, he listened to me, explained everything so I understood it and treated me like a human being and not just a number! Which made me feel much more at ease to be able to cope with the vascular problem I am having to contend with. Thank u to everyone at the Cooden Medical Group because u made me smile, which I haven’t done recently with the pain I have been in, but u have given me hope for a brighter future, and for that I am grateful ☺️ Thank you 🙏🏼

I found the staff I spoke to during my assessment really kind, friendly and helpful. The only thing I found difficult/disappointing was the location of my in person appointment. Whilst the room itself was fine, the actual building was a nightmare to find and had I not been accompanied to the assessment I would have turned around and given up trying to find it. It was not clearly labelled outside and once we figured out how to get inside it wasn't clear where to go/what to do and whether to just wait in the hall. Especially considering I was at the assessment getting tested for autism, this didn't feel very neurodivergent friendly. Everything else aside from this was really great and I had a overall positive experience with this company when getting my diagnosis.

His professional knowledge, his fabulous patient communication, his gentle and extremely caring nature and his genuine interest in me was simply outstanding. Any questions we had were answered completely. Not once did we feel that we were ‘just a number’ but instead felt extremely valued. The nursing staff on day ward were kind and friendly - underlying feeling was that perhaps staff needed bit more guidance/training - small things cannula done badly with pain and even having said it was hurting I was told it was ok but they had to re-do in theatre as was not ok. Left in soiled ‘diaper’ post op for over 2 hours. Asked at time was told 15 mins to wait after an hour asked again - again told 15 mins - at 2 hours I asked if I could go and do myself and nurse had obviously completely forgotten. She was very apologetic and had genuinely forgotten spent so long engrossed on hercomputer that I sort of felt basic care was a bit forgotten. This is not a complaint just comments to help it get better.
