I had surgery in November at New Victoria Hospital for multiple abdominal hernias under Professor Frampton after seeking a second opinion, and I’m very glad I did. From the first consultation, he was friendly and reassuring, took the time to explain everything clearly, and answered all my questions, which put me at ease after a previous, less positive experience elsewhere. On the day of surgery, he came to see me beforehand and talked everything through again, which I really appreciated. The surgery itself went extremely well, using a no-mesh technique, and I was honestly surprised by how quickly I recovered. I had minimal pain and was back to normal activities within a week. I am now two months post-op and so far the hernias have stayed closed. I am able to do activities that would previously have caused me pain, which has made a huge difference to my day-to-day life. At my follow-up appointment, Professor Frampton was pleased with how well I’d healed and again took time to answer my questions. I felt listened to, well cared for, and very confident in his expertise throughout the whole process.

Considering i am a private patient very Dissapointed. 1. I was contacted after making the initial appointment asking where i had my MRI scans. I gave the lady all details only to be contacted again the next day stating they could'nt locate them. I then gave them more comprehensive details and was assured if any issues i would be contacted. I attended the practice for the consultation on 27/11/25 only to be told by Mr. Bacon we could not proceed as he did not have my scans. I proceeded to to ask for the pre med tests during which an anneasatist was very rude to me because unfortunatly i have a needle phobea. 2. Prior to the operation i rang to ask that during the operation day is there somewhere for my partner[ ie. in the ward room etc] and informed yes. She was informed on arrival at 6.30am with me that she was not allowed on the ward until 6pm . We had travelled 80miles to the hospital that day. If we had been informed prior too alternatve arrangements could have been made for her.

Around 28 weeks into my pregnancy I switched to private maternity care. I chose Dr Kunde because of his surgical experience (due to the fact that I have had an abdominal operation and I wanted to make sure the consultant I choose will be able to smoothly operate should an emergency C section is needed). He offered a meet and greet consultation, where he answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable and reassured. Dr Kunde’s composed and relaxed attitude helped ease my anxiety during my antenatal care. He was fully supportive of my choice to have vaginal delivery. I liked the fact that he wasn’t pushing for unnecessary interventions. I had a smooth delivery with a second degree tear - the stitches healed quickly and never caused me any discomfort from the day of delivery. I am very happy with Dr Kunde’s care.

Dr Sotiris Nicholas

Dr Sotiris Nicholas provided my anaesthesia for a C-section at the Portland Hospital and his care was exceptional. He was incredibly warm and reassuring, explaining everything clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The entire process was painless, calm, and far more relaxing than I could have imagined. He stayed with us throughout the C-section, and despite working closely with the obstetrician, he chatted to us the whole time, keeping us both calm and helping us truly enjoy the birth of our baby. He even went above and beyond by taking beautiful photographs of this incredibly special moment. We will always remember the role he played in our baby’s birth and could not recommend him more highly to anyone looking for the right anaesthetist to support them during a C-section.

Apart from a reception that were unaware of their visitors - the building and facilities were excellent. Dr. Bradley is a practitioner who has a broad grasp of all areas of HRT treatment. Her extensive knowledge makes you feel very confident about the decisions you make with the doctors assistance. She is never rushed and allows extensive discussion about past and present research. I am extremely impressed by her professionalism. I left after my consultation feeling I had explored all the areas I had questions about but came away with a lot of new information.

Dr Hoey saw our son for his ongoing eczema and was excellent throughout the appointment. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain the different creams and ointments available, along with clear instructions on how and when to apply them. She also gave us helpful advice for our son’s nursery on how they can support his skin care. Dr Hoey was friendly and engaging with our young son, which helped her quickly build rapport and assess him with ease. We left the appointment feeling reassured and with a clear treatment plan. We saw dr Pradeep in her clinic today with our son and we have been seeing her since he was a baby so really good to have the consistency. Dr Pradeep explained our plan of what to do with our son for 3 different things. Was clear on each Individual thing we had to discuss and we have a plan of action going forward and a follow up for 6 months but Jae to wait for that to come through and to wait for an appointment for his skin prick test

Very happy with my consultant and the nursing staff but (as I have previously said in feedback) that waiting area (on the first floor) at Parkside really needs improvement. The reception staff are unfriendly, talk noisily amongst themselves, the coffee machine was broken today, there are sirens (or alarms or phone rings?) going off regularly which is not good for anxious patients

Mr Johnson explained everything clearly and listened. He did not rush me and allowed myself and family to ask any questions. My surgery went well and the follow up appointment was soon after. He explained the next steps in my treatment. I found Mr Johnson to be a lovely man who obviously cares about his job and his patients

Doctor Gurunathan is thorough and very capable. He explained my condition to me and the processes by which he treated it in a manner that was easy to follow. My surgery went off without a hitch and the aftercare was lovely. I have much cleaner breathing now and have a much better idea of how to handle my nasal health now.

The reception area felt a bit stark, chairs arranged around the walls, tv on the wall, all very open. Pleasant reception staff. Waited literally a minute before being called. The nurses were lovely, friendly and approachable and explained tests etc. Another very short wait to see the consultant.

I saw Dr Nina Muirhead as I have been experiencing chronic skin soreness following radiotherapy. She was so empathetic and helpful, prescribing appropriate cream and medication to relieve the itchiness, help to prevent infection and clear up the skin rash.
