The Portland Hospital was a wonderful place to safely deliver our beautiful baby boy. Our experience was personalised, with very thorough and caring professionals. Our obstetrician, Dr Kenga Sivarajah, was incredibly knowledgable and kind: someone we could trust implicitely and who was there throughout the entire 22 hour labour to ensure a safe delivery. The Anaesthetic team were quick and very effective with the epidural, ensuring that my pain was well managed throughout, with no side effects from the epidural. The nursing staff, both on the delivery ward and maternity ward, were amazing. Ellie and Scarlet were there every step to make sure I was safe and comfortable during labour. On the birth ward, we had regular nurse check ins and a lot of help with breastfeeding positions and latch. There was the option of the night nursery as well, which we elected not to use. The room was very comfortable with a trundle bed for my partner to sleep and a private bathroom (hugely appreciated immediately post birth). The food was excellent, with an extensive menu. The kitchen was a bit slow on some of the orders, but otherwise very good. Overall, our Portland experience was wonderful and we would hope to deliver there again in future.

A little concerned as to what seems to be a deterioration in standards. - my temperature was checked with an ear thermometer that didn't have a removal cap for hygiene so does this mean it's used in each patients ears? I did not see the deodorant change the cap or discard anything, just picked it up from the table. - my ultrasound scan felt completely rushed. The doctor kept looking at his watch through out my appointment. The machine was supposedly heating up and the doctor did no ask me to turn in the positions to check the organs we needed to see. - I was prescribed medication that can easily be purchased at any pharmacy and more cost affective to purchase without prescription - there is no where near enough privacy in the appointment rooms and the waiting area. It's quiet and I could hear almost the entire conversation of other patients. - I should have been offered a full urine test based on my blood results - over not the experience I've had before. Really disappointed.

During our first visit, she quickly and accurately identified that my son’s severe constipation was actually caused by a milk allergy, something no one had noticed before. Her expertise, sharp clinical insight, and ability to diagnose the root problem so efficiently were incredibly impressive. She explained everything with great patience and clarity, and her professional yet warm manner made us feel completely supported throughout the process. After following her advice and switching my son’s milk, his symptoms improved almost immediately. It was truly life-changing for our family. Dr. Jog’s dedication, compassion, and outstanding medical judgment make her stand out as one of the very best pediatricians we have ever met. We are deeply grateful for her care and would recommend her wholeheartedly to any parent seeking exceptional medical support for their child.

I was very impressed with this place. I am an NHS patient so have never been before. It was clean and tidy. The decor was modern and if you have a fear or hospitals or.drs it.doesnt feel like a medical place. Staff so friendly. Toilets were clean and soap and handcream dispensers full. Wait time was a little longer than expected but I heard nurses saying patients had been double booked. I was still in and out within 2 hrs. I'd had a consult, 2 scans and my results in this time. I wish I could afford to go here all the time.

Everything was excellent. Staff were kind, friendly and efficient without exception. My only concern is that there does not seem to have been a good reason for the 14 week wait after referral. It seemed clear that Newmedica would have had capacity to complete the procedure sooner but apparently the NHS would not pay for this flexibility. My sight deteriorated in that time so that was a personal negative.

He treated me at first with injections & once those were discounted as they only worked for a short period, Professor Warwick offered me a small operation that has markedly improved my pain. I previously had surgery with Mr Haq for breast cancer and recently had concerns with the other breast. It was easy to book the appointment and seen within 3 days. Consultation was very reassuring and tests completed the same day. I felt confident in the professionalism and care I received by all staff, special thanks to Mr Haq, Nuala and the radiographer who performed my chest x-ray.
