I struggled for 2–3 years with vaginal dryness, thinning, low sex drive, and painful sex caused by low dose birth control (Gedarel). I had lost a lot of confidence due to this. During that time, I visited multiple NHS GPs, and every single time I was told there was nothing wrong, I'm too young and advised to use lubricant or vaginal moisturisers. I felt completely dismissed and defeated. After doing extensive research, I came across other women with similar experiences, including some who had been successfully treated with bioidentical HRT. I was determined to find a gynaecologist who had experience treating women closer to my age, and I was incredibly fortunate to find Miss Tania Adib. From the very first appointment, Miss Adib took me seriously, listened carefully to everything I had to say, and made me feel heard and understood. She diagnosed me with vestibular vulvodynia and thinning and prescribed bioidentical HRT consisting of estradiol, testosterone and baclofen which has helped so much. The baclofen has really helped as I also had some pelvic muscle tightness. The improvement has been dramatic — my vaginal dryness has resolved, my sex drive has returned, and there is a significant reduction in pain during sex and my confidence has improved immensely. I feel like myself again. I had honestly lost all hope before meeting Miss Adib! Miss Adib is extremely kind, friendly, and professional, and I have always felt safe and comfortable at every visit. I have had an excellent experience under her care and am genuinely grateful for the impact she has had on my quality of life. I hope that anyone experiencing similar symptoms is able to seek treatment from her — you will not regret it.

I have been very happy with my overall experience at Vision Scotland Edinburgh. The staff were both friendly and professional. I was well informed regarding my choices and the procedure. I have been thrilled with the result of the cataract surgery. I was given an appointment very soon after the referral. I would however like to let you know how I felt the experience on the day of the operation could have been improved. Firstly I was not sent the Post Op information which would have been most helpful to read before the procedure. Secondly I got very cold in theatre and was given a blanket but it did take me ages to warm up. It would have been better to have been given a blanket before the procedure started. There is a lot of cold water being used which does add to the chill. Thirdly I was not told to bring sunglasses for the journey home or to bring analogies both of which I would very much appreciated as I lived over a hour away. On the journey home I became extremely uncomfortable. Finally the roof of my mouth and tongue got a little burnt I think by the coffee as they must have been a little bit anaesthetised still when I had the coffee. The coffee however i have to say was absolutely welcome and the best thing along with the toasted teacake. I found it very reassuring to have a telephone number to call which I did use. I also very much appreciate the phone call from the nurse a couple of days post op. I hope you find the above comments of use. I do not wish to criticise as overall it was an extremely good experience and I would and have already recommended Vision Scotland. ( I did tell my neighbour to ask for a blanket!)

There was a lot of confusion in regards to my follow up appointment post surgery. An appointment was booked and agreed for Monday morning, another appointment was booked for the afternoon in addition to the morning appointment, which I tried to rearrange for the following day and recieved confirmation, that appointment I found out later had not been booked and one was made for the following week, and I had called to confirm the appointment for Monday morning too. I found out later that the Monday morning appointment was cancelled but I was not told this until I arrived for the appointment early. Gill at reception was extremely helpful and was immediately on the case to help me as this was a wound check appointment. She spoke to Nikki and Bev and I was able to be seen very quickly. I appreciated all the help I was given by Gill and she helped me create my next appointment for 6 weeks time and navigate the situation well. The appointment itself was informative and very good. I believe there was a mix up with the lists for the day and it seemed to be that everyone just got confused with what appointments for me were needed to be rearranged/ cancelled. Everything was resolved quickly and calmly, and I thank everyone for their help in resolving this.

My experience at the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH was exceptional from start to finish. The room's were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and calm - exactly what you hope for during such an important emotional time. The food was genuinely excellent, with a great variety of choices, which made a real difference during recovery and long days on the ward. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely amazing. From the midwives and healthcare assistance to the catering team, every single person was kind, caring and professional. The midwives were extremely knowledgeable and always on hand to support and reassure, no matter the time of day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. What truly stood out was the continuity of care even after discharge. The midwives remained available to support me with breastfeeding and post cesarean aftercare, which was invaluable and made me feel supported well beyond my stay. I cannot fault the Fitzrovia private maternity suite at UCLH. The standard of care, compassion, and attention to detail where outstanding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering private maternity to care.

Mr Walter Cazzaniga

Mr Cazzaniga told me more about my adrenal and kidney lesions in 30 mins than I had learnt over the past eleven months. Armed with that information I was able to challenge my nhs doctor on the decision to proceed with a biopsy on my kidney before completing tests to determine whether I had cushings syndrome and if the adrenal lesion was malignant. Mr Cazziniga had explained very clearly why it could be fatal to go ahead with the biopsy of the kidney lesion before completing these. . He explained why he suspected I had kidney cancer. It is strange to say, but it was the best £*** I have ever spent. Although I still do not have a definitive diagnosis I now know what is required. I have requested another appointment with Mr Cazziniga to test me for adrenal gland cancer and cushings syndrome. I will be forever thankful He managed to save my life before I even received a diagnosis. With my gained knowledge I hope to move forward more quickly. My only regret is not seeing him sooner.

We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care Dr Darr provided to our daughter during her treatment for orbital cellulitis. Dr Darr's decision to perform the complex sinus drainage surgery the way he did, despite it being more complicated, showed great skill and consideration for her long-term health. I have been lucky enough to have been treated and operated on before by Mr Shukla,, which was why I asked to be referred to him again. Mr Shukla greeted me smiling and was very friendly. He had taken the time to not only review my scans etc for my current visit, but he had also revisited my notes from my operation back in May 2012, which went very well with no further issues. Mr Shukla had also researched my medications, from my notes regarding my open heart surgery in October 2025. My examination was careful, thorough and sympathetic. The explanation of the outcome from his examination and scans was very good and I understood all that was mentioned, with opportunity to ask equations. I did not feel rushed at all and I left the appointment a very happy man, comfortable and confident in what was said. I would not wish to be seen by another Consultant in relation to my medical issues regarding my shoulder. Thank you Mr Shukla.!

I was a little concerned because my appointment was delayed due to a problem with the machine but everyone was so kind and comforting. My appointment could have been rearranged for another date but everything was done to ensure my operation went ahead that day. This I very much appreciated because I was really worried about having the procedure. I was very nervous but Dr Ho explained what he was doing and what to expect every step of the way and this helped me to relax. I felt everything before, during and after the operation was explained clearly and fully. Back at home I found all the booklets and other paperwork very easy to follow and so I knew what to expect and what to do. After I had bathed the eye the following day I could already see clearly. From the initial outpatient appointment to the procedure , everything was smooth and pleasant. I didn’t have to wait long when I visited the facility and it was not difficult to book appointments for further treatment. Karla, Michele and all the nursing team were very kind , thoughtful and accommodating. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and they didn’t leave questions unanswered. Dr Woollard was very attentive and helpful. He was reassuring and made everything clear. He was understanding and showed empathy .

pleased with consultant and his diagnosis.not so with the rest of the hospital.toilets broken;no working water urns,had to wait 10 mins for someone to serve me at the cafe and when they did the coffee was tepid;had to wait over 25 mins to be seen by doctor.reception did not know where the nearest bus stop was but they did ask a local employee for me.so medical section of your hospital i cant complain about but the rest of it was poor
