I booked and paid for a private online consultation with Dr Vinesan Naidoo regarding persistent hyperprolactinaemia confirmed on blood tests (monomeric prolactin approx. 590 mIU/L; total prolactin approx. 704 mIU/L) with ongoing symptoms including low libido, low energy, anxiety, poor sleep and mood issues. This appointment was extremely disappointing. From the start, I was interrupted repeatedly and not allowed to explain my symptoms properly. The doctor quickly dismissed the issue as “physiological” and “not a medical concern” despite clearly abnormal blood results and clear symptoms affecting my quality of life. What I found most frustrating is that he seemed to assume he knew better than I do about what I’m experiencing, essentially implying that raised prolactin at these levels cannot cause symptoms — even though it is well known that prolactin elevation can affect libido, mood, energy and sexual function in men. There was no structured assessment and no clear plan. The consultation did not cover: possible causes of raised prolactin repeat testing plan (fasting, stress-controlled, early morning) medication/supplement review endocrine referral pathway whether pituitary imaging should be considered if prolactin remains elevated As a patient paying privately, I expected a professional, thorough medical discussion. Instead, I felt dismissed and rushed, and left with no help, no reassurance, and no next steps. I cannot recommend this doctor based on my experience. I paid for a medical consultation, but what I received was an opinion with no investigation, no plan and no clinical value.

Daniela Stan quite literally saved my life. I originally went to her for a routine abdominal ultrasound. I had done yearly blood tests and many types of screening, but never breast imaging, simply because I did not know ultrasound was possible. My biopsy specialist and cancer treatment team later told me that Daniela is truly the hero of my story. Had it not been for her expertise and vigilance in finding such a small lesion, a few years later my situation could have been dramatically different. Daniela has many years of experience in both the UK and the US and it shows in every aspect of her work. She is incredibly thorough, highly skilled and deeply compassionate. What also deeply impressed me is that her fees are extremely affordable and she even offers free follow-up scans in cases where she finds lesions — something that speaks volumes about her integrity and genuine care for her patients. I urge every woman to prioritise breast screening and to see Daniela if possible. I will be forever grateful to her — she truly changed the course of my life.

There was a lot of confusion in regards to my follow up appointment post surgery. An appointment was booked and agreed for Monday morning, another appointment was booked for the afternoon in addition to the morning appointment, which I tried to rearrange for the following day and recieved confirmation, that appointment I found out later had not been booked and one was made for the following week, and I had called to confirm the appointment for Monday morning too. I found out later that the Monday morning appointment was cancelled but I was not told this until I arrived for the appointment early. Gill at reception was extremely helpful and was immediately on the case to help me as this was a wound check appointment. She spoke to Nikki and Bev and I was able to be seen very quickly. I appreciated all the help I was given by Gill and she helped me create my next appointment for 6 weeks time and navigate the situation well. The appointment itself was informative and very good. I believe there was a mix up with the lists for the day and it seemed to be that everyone just got confused with what appointments for me were needed to be rearranged/ cancelled. Everything was resolved quickly and calmly, and I thank everyone for their help in resolving this.

I recently had bilateral cataract surgery. From start to finish the treatment I received was excellent. The patient liaison manager was really helpful, friendly, incredibly supportive and a welcome calming influence. I was amazed by the state of the art optical equipment that was available to ensure that my lenses were perfectly suited to the dimensions of my eyes and my prescription, as well as the care that the technicians took while taking the measurements. The optometrists I saw were caring and informative, ensuring that I knew about the different types of intra ocular lenses available and what I may expect from them. They carried out my eye tests with care and patience. The eye surgeon was incredibly experienced and very skilled, and carried out the procedure very efficiently with great care. Now, six weeks post-surgery, I am very grateful of the care I received and the quality and clarity of my lenses; both aspects easily surpassed all my expectations. I would highly recommend Freedom Vision, Chelmsford to anyone considering cataract surgery.

She is reassuring, methodical, and clearly committed to understanding the full picture of my health. I would highly recommend Dr Cavill to anyone looking for a caring, diligent, and highly thorough doctor.

The staff seemed very friendly and efficient in what seemed to be quite a busy little private out patient's department. I had to have quite a few test's and checks but didn't have to wait long in-between different department's. When I got to see the consultant he was very professional and explained to me exactly what my condition was, how it was affecting my vision . He then explained how he proposed to try to correct the problem, the likely time scale for the procedure, and the cost. I also felt that he was very clear to manage my expectations when the procedure does go ahead.

See previous comments. I'd already had an ultrasound, he didnt bother to even turn on the PC on to look at the images, depsite the specialist' letter highlighting issues to look at he just dismissed her ability to see anything and to do a difeent scan. Couldnt be bothered to look. Just dreadful.
