I previously saw Mr Humphrey over 4 years ago for an unrelated foot problem, and was advised to avoid surgery which has proved to be excellent advice. After recently suffering a ruptured Achilles I saw him again knowing he would not recommend surgery unless he felt it absolutely necessary. He was thorough, examining me and arranging necessary scans and a more suitable boot, as well as making sure I took blood thinners for a further 4 weeks to guard against DVT’s. (Apparently he has written papers on this topic) . He explained the conservative treatment he proposed going forward, with clear timelines and outlined there were further surgical options available later down the line if my Achilles didn’t heal in the optimum way. Mr Humphrey was very approachable and I felt he had my best interests at heart. I would definitely recommend him to anyone experiencing problems with their foot or ankle. My husband was so impressed he decided to see Mr Humphrey himself for a long standing ankle issue.

The assessment was very thorough but efficient at the same time. The team on-site put me at ease, demonstrated confidence in their abilities and ensured I understood the problem and potential next steps. The practical next steps (eg costs, timescale and dates) were not the focus of this appointment and therefore, at no point did I feel a pressure to commit. The focus was more on the calibre of staff who would manage my next procedure and we also discussed any medical concerns I had. I walked out of the session thinking why on earth have I held back so long on getting this treatment done! Thanks to the team both the Dr and Fabrizio were incredibly professional and welcoming.

I had quite complex surgery performed by Mr Bhargava three months ago which means I am now able to walk again without pain. Prior to finding Mr Bhargava, I just couldn't seem to find the right help but, thankfully, I was eventually referred to him as a Foot and Ankle Specialist. Following an MRI, he Immediately put my mind at rest when he fully explained I was flat-footed and had a torn tendon which was only going to worsen. I can't praise him and his team highly enough in fact a friend of mine is now also a patient undergoing surgery next week. He is a pure professional with a calming manner which I found very comforting.

Dr Georgiou was extremely kind and generous with his time, despite this being a second-opinion consultation. My uncle was diagnosed with advanced, stage IV malignancy, and Dr Georgiou approached the case with seriousness and care, without being dismissive or overlooking treatment options. He supported the appropriate treatment plan, and after four cycles my uncle is doing remarkably well. His clear explanations and compassionate attitude gave our family reassurance and confidence at a very difficult time.

I can't praise 'Dr Paddy' highly enough. From a clear explanation of the proposed procedure, to carrying out the operation and even taking the time to drop in on me at discharge, he was superb. The quality of his surgical technique is borne out by an amazingly speedy recovery. In less than three weeks I was off crutches around the house, in less than 5 weeks taking short walks outside and driving, all without any noticeable discomfort or difficulty. 5 stars are not enough. Mr Oakley could not of been more helpfull in explaining to me the complexities of the operation I was going to have on my knee.Unfortunately on my first visit to the Operating theatre there was a slight problem but it was dealt with without any fuss by his team and I had the procedure done a fortnight later,with great success I might add.The aftercare I had was second to none and I have no complaints whatsoever.Doubles and trebles all round.Cheers!

Dr Michael’s explanations were excellent and he indicated options in a concise and easy to understand manner. We agreed that right now there was no real need for intervention as my hernia does not cause any discomfort. He did however make me aware of a process to revisit in the future if circumstances change or the hernia starts to become uncomfortable.
