Choosing Cleveland Clinic London for my endometriosis surgery was one of the most transformative decisions of my life. I arrived exhausted, scared, and carrying years of pain — and I left feeling safe, understood, and finally free. My surgeon, Dr Mohamed Mabrouk, is truly extraordinary. He is one of those rare doctors who combine world-class surgical skill with genuine compassion. What he achieved in the operating room still amazes me. Although I was originally diagnosed with milder endometriosis, once the surgery began it turned out to be stage 4 — something that often can only be discovered during laparoscopy, because deep infiltrating lesions simply cannot be seen on scans. This can happen “out of the blue,” and it did in my case. Yet even with this unexpected complexity, Dr Mabrouk removed every single trace of disease with exceptional precision: • My ovarian reserve was fully preserved. • None of my organs were damaged. • Not even a single blood vessel was touched. This level of surgical accuracy is incredibly rare for stage 4 cases. Many women lose organs or face complications, but he protected every part of my body. His steadiness, confidence, and expertise are on a completely different level. But beyond his skill, what touched me most was his kindness. He explained everything patiently, made me feel safe, and even called me personally after the surgery — including on weekends — just to check on me. He is a doctor with a huge heart. My anesthesiologist, Jeremy R. Prout, was equally exceptional — calm, reassuring, and so professional that I felt safe even in the most vulnerable moment before going under. The nursing team was unbelievable. They checked on me day and night, looked after my pain management, took tests, reassured me constantly, and treated me with so much warmth. They didn’t just do their job — they cared. After discharge, the nurses continued to support me over the phone, checking on my recovery and symptoms. They even provided me with all the medication I needed to take home, which made everything easier and much less stressful. The hospital itself felt peaceful, clean, luxurious — beautiful private rooms, delicious food available at any time, and a calm atmosphere that truly helps recovery. Now, one month after my complex robotic surgery, I can say something I never thought I would again: my physical and mental health is finally restored. I have no pain. I feel light and calm. My body feels healthy for the first time in years. My mind feels peaceful. Cleveland Clinic London, Dr Mohamed Mabrouk didn’t just treat my illness, he gave me my life back. I had booked an echocardiogram with a female technician, and had taken the day off work to attend, but when I arrived and asked about the female technician (to confirm), I was told that a female was not available, which was extremely disappointing. I had called twice earlier in the day (before travelling to the appointment) to confirm that a female was available, but no one in the echo department answered the phone. Further, I have been attending the Cleveland Clinic since March of last year, when I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage, and had been told that my standing request for a female echocardiogram technician had been recorded in my patient profile. The staff in the imaging department seemed to be surprised that a woman having this test would insist on a female technician, which indicated a lack of sensitivity and training, and they appeared not to know how to handle this situation. So, not only did I waste my time and lose a work day due to this oversight, but I had to cancel my follow-up cardiology consultation, and now cannot take time off work to reschedule until the new year, which has created a very stressful situation for me. In my opinion, the Cleveland Clinic should always have a female echocardiogram technician on duty, for women who are uncomfortable with a male, and the front desk staff needs much better training in this regard.

Although I'm based in the north of England, under London Prostate Clinic they had been keeping a watching brief on a low level prostate cancer diagnosis and enlarged prostate since 2018. Taking a daily Tamsulosin tablet had been effective until December last year when I had a UTI that made me quite ill. In March this year, another serious UTI caused me to have a catheter fitted at an A+E hospital. My difficulty passing urine had worsened due to the increasing enlargement of the prostate, so after research I decided that the HoLep route of treatment would be the most effective and have the least side effects long term. I discovered Dr. Matthew Liew working out of Spire Manchester hospital and from the first consultation he put my mind at ease with his calm professional manner and good humour. The operation date was arranged within 3 months and was a complete success. I am now back to normal urine flow and complete bladder emptying. My PSA reading has dropped from a high of 11.5 to 5.2. I had 2 post op consultations with Dr. Liew where any questions or concerns were discussed and I am now looking forward to maintaining a normal life, urologically speaking! (age 66).

As someone who has always been really nervous of childbirth, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to deliver my baby with Dr Bhatti. She has a reassuring confidence about her, I knew I was in safe hands from day 1. I have a really bad needle phobia which Dr Bhatti was really understanding about and never once made me feel like this was an issue, but was happy to talk through the various options throughout my pregnancy and birth and the needles involved and how we might manage it. She was always honest and direct. She was always available for any worries throughout my pregnancy- I once contacted her on a Sunday evening and she responded immediately and had me in the hospital for some blood tests within the hour. My c-section birth was a truly positive experience, which is quite unbelievable based on how afraid I am of medical procedures. Recovery was straightforward and Dr Bhatti’s skillful hand even managed to save my tattoo near my c-section scar. Would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to feel confident of being in good hands in their pregnancy and birth.

My experience from start to finish was brilliant. The information provided during consultation was detailed and all was clear on the approach to the operation. Upon arrival at Nuffield health the welcome was fantastic, everyone was very nice and extremely helpful. Any questions I had about the surgery were answered clearly and all processes were explained well prior to the operation. My operation went well and I was back home the same day. Mr.Dimitri explain there would be post op bruising and some pain, which were exactly right. I took his advice and kept asking mobile as I could without damaging myself, within a week began to stretch my leg and within two and half weeks I was back on the treadmill. I'm post op by about 8 weeks now and the scars are minimal. I hope I won't need it, but if I do need to go back for more surgery, I will be selecting Mr.Dimitri.

We checked in early, due to traffic, 20 minutes early at 13.10 for an appointment at 13.30. At 14.05 I returned to the reception desk to ask why a large number of customers had arrived after us and been seen before and the Team Lead stated that she would check for me. She came back 3-4 minutes later to notify us that the reception staff had not booked us as arrived. We were told that they were sorry and that we would be moved to the front of the line. We did not have a very good experience with you.

Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me.
