I would like to begin by acknowledging the excellent care I received from the doctors during my first visit. Both clinicians went above and beyond, and I felt genuinely supported by them. Unfortunately, this high standard was not reflected in my interactions with the reception and administrative staff. After my consultation, the doctor provided me with a ticket for my next appointment and advised that, in the meantime, I should attend the imaging department for an ultrasound. When I arrived at imaging, the staff were dismissive and informed me that, because I was an NHS patient, they would need to write to my GP for a separate referral. I explained that the doctor had instructed me to have the ultrasound the same day. The staff member responded that if I waited in reception, she would speak to the doctor, adding that “quite often they don’t know how things are done.” I waited for an hour with no update. When I approached the desk to ask for news, the staff member replied, “I’m sorry, I forgot all about you,” and said she would speak to the doctor immediately. After she finally did so, the situation changed dramatically: I was suddenly offered an ultrasound appointment for 11:30 a.m. that same day — just an hour and a half later. It was clear that once the doctor became aware of the issue, the department acted quickly and efficiently, which I appreciated, especially as I live only ten minutes away. The ultrasound itself was carried out professionally, and the doctor performing it was excellent. He explained everything clearly and asked when my next appointment was. When I told him it was scheduled for six weeks later, he advised me to return to the main reception and request an earlier appointment, as his report would be completed that same day. However, when I approached reception, I was dismissed outright and told, “Doctors make appointments six weeks in advance — it is what it is.” Additionally, there was no record of my attendance on their system, only an appointment dated 23 March 2026, which, by their own admission, belonged to a different patient entirely. On reflection, while staff may appear polite on the surface, the reality of my experience was the opposite. The inconsistency, dismissiveness, and lack of coordination created unnecessary stress and undermined the otherwise excellent clinical care I received.

I’m writing this after having my 12-week scan yesterday, where we saw a very active little baby, something we once weren’t sure we would ever experience. After a very long IVF journey, including multiple operations due to severe endometriosis, we made the decision to switch clinics and come to Guys under Professor Khalaf’s care. He performed one final operation that resolved the recurring issue I had been facing, and now, incredibly, I’m 12 weeks pregnant. During a time when we were truly in the depths of our IVF journey, a process that can be gruelling, exhausting and emotionally overwhelming, he gave us hope when we needed it most. We will always be incredibly grateful. I cannot recommend Professor Khalaf highly enough. He is incredibly approachable, positive and reassuring, and he gave me such a boost at a time when I needed it most. I also appreciated that I didn’t have lots of unnecessary, expensive scans; everything felt focused and purposeful. He is extremely responsive and always available to answer any questions. His manner is not only professional but also warm, making you feel safe, supported and completely comfortable throughout the entire process. Thank you so much, Professor Khalaf.

I was extremely nervous about my appointment here, but I didn’t need to be, because from the moment I walked thru the doors I was greeted with big smiles from the receptionists, which was the start of a pleasant experience here, everywhere was exceptionally clean, tidy and organised. Throughout my visit the staff were thoughtful, friendly, caring and informative. . I can’t thank Dr Mo Faris enough, he listened to me, explained everything so I understood it and treated me like a human being and not just a number! I am an 88 year old woman who, during her long life, has been under the care of many doctors and Dr. Khwanda is by far the most thorough and caring of them all. Once home after my cardioversion, he phoned me daily later telling me to phone him if I had any worries or concerns. I cannot fault him regarding his post procedure care and thoughtfulness. I consider myself extremely fortunate that, by chance, I chose Dr. Khwanda to be my cardiologist and in whom I have gained complete trust. He is very competent, professional, has the respect of his team, explains treatments and necessary medications in laymen’s terms and very importantly, treats his patients with the greatest care and concern. The support at the very beginning when I was accessing the service was excellent - the person I first communicated with was helpful, gentle and kind. I felt able to ask questions and to access the support on my own terms. Getting a regular appointment that suited my needs and schedule was also easy - as a single parent, I really appreciate the flexibility. The portal took a little bit of getting used to but here too, lots of friendly support was available. The counsellor I speak to weekly is just brilliant. They are flexible and kind, and our relationship has evolved according to my needs. It's genuinely changed my life, and I couldn't be more grateful.

I was very happy with the facilities at Nuffield Woking and all the staff were friendly, supportive and efficient - I had a booking in nurse, a physio (providing equipment and advice, ensuring I know how to the equipment safely), someone took my after op food order ensuring my dietary requirments (Coeliac) were catered for, an after procedure nurse who made regular checks and provided discharge advice and a pharmacist, who provided after care medication and advice on dosage and requirements. All of these memeber so staff were very polite, caring and provided clear advice - I felt very well cared for and looked after. Thank you everyone.

I first saw Dr Ratheesh in person, where I felt he listened and took into account everything I was saying. He subsequently referred me for tests, the results of which we discussed by phone. He was kindly able to accommodate me by calling at a specific time of day due to my working hours. He explained the results thoroughly and in a manner I could easily understand and answered all of my follow up questions. He outlined the plans for my immediate treatment and the probable timescale and next steps following my MSK referral. His friendly and efficient manner is a credit to the NHS.

The consultant was very reassuring throughout. The teams, medical and physio, came across as calm, competent and professional. The nurses and reception staff at the hospital were friendly, calm and professional not just to me, the patient, but to my wife as well. Recovery after the procedure was less daunting than I feared it would be, the pain experienced was less than I feared it might be, and the rehab process has been every bit as easy as I was told it might be. This hospital is pleasant to attend. It is clean- including the bathrooms and baby changing areas which are spotless. There are several small but well stocked indoor play areas for children which make a huge difference when entertaining them between appointments/ diagnostics. The on-site cafe is welcoming and extremely reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and look happy to be there. Most importantly, appointments run on time and there is ample free parking on site.
